Introducing folks to my most favorite blog.

Just a quick post to introduce folks the my most favorite blog called Debunking Christianity which is run by somebody i considder a friend whos name is John Loftus.

Here is the link : http://debunkingchristianity.blogspot.com/

John Loftus runs a blog that is choca full of information, specially for christians who might be feeling some doubt of their beliefs and might be feeling fearful of some thoughts running around and around through their head. John explains what happened when he started having his own doubts and goes through explaining many good reason why the christian faith surely seems rather unbelievable . This blog to me is a very special place. A place that has lots and lots of character and also a very friendly group of people who visit,  being both christian and atheist who mostly do get on pretty well . Naturally there are the odd times when frustration gets the better of folks , sadly including myself this i must admit . But just because im a non believer this dont mean i claim to be perfect at all. This is a blog where squabbles can break out and tempers may fly a little at times ,and yet mostly i have not seen anybody really hating on anyone.

There were some folks who had/have some type of personal dislike/hate/grudge for John , they seemed to like trying to gang up and tried picking on him ,  even called themselves christian too . Naturally this type of action can often bring out some of the worst in us for awhile , which i personally suspect is maybe even what it was actually most likely purposely designed to try to do . Best we can do is just always try to learn something from such experiences.

John Loftus has been involved in writing books and his latest book he was involved in is called :The Christian Delusion: Why Faith Fails

See here :  http://sites.google.com/site/thechristiandelusion/

There was actually nine authors or maybe its actually ten including John involved in this particular book that include Hector Avalos, Ph.D…., Edward Babinski …., Dan Barker ,… Richard Carrier, Ph.D., ….David Eller, Ph.D., …..John W. Loftus, M.A., M.Div., Th.M……, Jason Long, Ph.D.,….. Robert Price, Ph.D.,…. Valerie Tarico, Ph.D., …..Paul Tobin

There was of course the usual bullshit reviews put forward from the personal hate crew who will do anything they can to try to slander people they have a personal grdge for

John Loftus

. But still there has been many other more honest unbiased views put forward from both atheist as well as very many faithful .

I suggest folks get to know John a little , he is a pretty alright guy by my books . Infact i happen to like him a whole lot . He is very down to earth and totally approachable by both christians and atheists alike. This is a guy who although having become atheist himself still happens to have time for christians and trys his best to still have some respect for them .

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.

Is this the end of your blog?

    • ExEB says:

Hi George.Yes ive been slack as lately, and not written anything at all.Had heaps of other stuff on my mind and just lacked any inspiration to do some writing.Plus my computer is ancient and i only have the slow dial-up,which makes the process slightly annoying.

But most of all i guess ive felt a bit unmotivated of discussing matters of religion and God believers.I notice many other folks online sometimes seem to feel the same way also, and go through stages where they will just say nothing.

George at times it just seems a bit pointless.Religious folk are so much like concrete block walls, except twice as thick. They are no different than discussing matters with the likes of Kim Jung-il ,and expecting maybe discussion might somehow be helpful .

There is no hope that anything i can say now will ever help change much about life for me or my kids .Because of the brain dead ignorance of God faith, in any reality its just best i accept its tough-titty i was born into the world and life of ignorant God believers.Because they happen to exist.

And yet i also know i should keep a little interested in these matters and try to atleast do something to help change the future for others. We will never change the mind of many these ignorant adult God believers, but there is hope for the future because worldwide today the youth are giving faith the quick flick that it deserves. And consigning it to the rubbish basket where it belongs.
