Science Cracking Psychological Codes of the Cults

I do so love the ScienceDaily

Science has been the best “bible” type reading that ive ever found to help me try and make some “real-sense” out of so much weird whacky strange crazy phenomenon we humans sometimes experience. Things like the zombie type phenomenon observable in many members in cults , and getting to kind of start to understanding maybe how mind-control methods might work.

This Holey Science Babble can make mistakes , yes ,  but thats why its considered Holey rather than Holy.

Holy Babble = God = Divine = Infalibility = Inability of change

Holey Babble = Science = Infallibility/fallibility = Ability of Change + Possibility Truth

Brain Differences Found Between Believers In God And Non-Believers

Well …L.o.L … it almost seems kinda strange that humans really? needed to use science to figure that out ,but anyway i guess what most important is that the “proper” tests have been carried out ,and that’s what science is supposed to be all about if carried out properly, proper tests ! .Meaning all the data then gets recorded and put forward towards helping us human in figuring out all the far bigger pictures that’s to do with the understanding of the psychology of all the differences between believers and non believers.

Back in 2009 the ScienceDaily reported : Believing in God can help block anxiety and minimize stress, according to new University of Toronto research that shows distinct brain differences between believers and non-believers.

Psychology Professor Michael Inzlicht did tests on participants and he had these folk hooked up to electrodes that measured their brain activity. I suggest you follow the links and read about it yourself ,but basic thing they found was that meditation works by closing down parts of the brain that deals with our natural method of “alarm” and shows that meditation allows people to relax and not be so alarmed by mistakes they made.

Professor Michael Inzlicht said : “We found that religious people or even people who simply believe in the existence of God show significantly less brain activity in relation to their own errors. They’re much less anxious and feel less stressed when they have made an error.”

Ahhh Really ? … Oh so that would be extremely helpful data to help us humans account for why silly cult member might have followed ole Jimmy Jones like whacky weed smoking !! stoned rats all following after the Pied Piper. I knew they must a been drunk on something mighty powerful .They way i understand it heaps of family members tried to plead with them to listen and please be a little cautious ! …. But like these reports seem to suggest when folks are drunk on all the “religious wine” all the time , they get this starry-eyed look ! as the Jesus Juice or whatever their particular preferred flavor of religious wine takes effect , dulling the human sense of anxiety and alarm , sometimes leaving the real “faith addict” in a kind of stupor , meaning family member pleas begging for the sense of caution to be applied when considering the road the Jim Jones cult was headed down .Most likely would have only been met by exclamations of religious ecstasy ! such as hallelujah ! …… Jesus loves us !! …… May the God be praised !! etc ….. With heaping helpings of beaming smiles !! giving these faiths rats the look that maybe they might carry some of the same genes as the cartoon character Garfield

Ahhhh ......... Jesus Loves Me This I Know

Dont get me wrong im not saying this meditative condition doesn’t have some benefits. It’s often a good thing if humans can learn ways to meditate and focus and try to take some control of their emotions and try to find ways to calm themselves . Because anxiety can sometimes also be a sense that gets out of control ! in us humans , and focus and meditation can be excellent tools in helping relieve this condition. Hell some folks even use some alcohol or drugs to help settle the nerves. But overdose , and total reliance and addiction on the use of these relaxation methods is what gets people into grave problems .In my opinion that’s why religion is so dangerous , for its expects its members total devotion .For religious faith often suggests anything less is not even anywhere near what will be acceptable !.

Darby version Holy Babble : Revelation 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot.

This Prophetic Pied Piper don’t like having to many luke warm rats around the place ,warm rats tend to question things too much , breeds far to many genes of bait shy! type rats , with inbuilt features of some scepticism . No the real fair-dinkum pied piping prophets much prefer it as all easy-kill

To me this holy babble verse is a verse promoting human ignorance and lack of scepticism ,as supposedly being what humans should consider as a valuable trait to foster. So is it really any great wonder so much pain and hurt and grave danger!  has been promoted from human use of this book ?.

I don’t think so.

Meditation and methods of focusing can be really great tools that human can use to help relax us ,which in turn can also improve humans methods of concentration and improve our ability to make fewer errors or be facing the unknown as this scientific test proved.

But too much  of it! and it can act lots like a very sharp double-edged sword , a sword that cuts leaving devoted stoned smiling Garfield’s strewn far and wide across this planet earth , whether they be West Bro Baptists , Exclusive Brethren , Roman Catholic , Pentecostals , Born Again Christians , Islamists , Hindus , Scientologists , Kim Jung-il -ismists , George. W , Bush -ismists , etc , etc

There is extremely good reason for humans to be wary ! and always remember! to have what they should consider a very healthy ! scepticism , specially of anything expecting things such as that of total devotion  . For this verse i wrote above of Revelation 3:15  taken from the holy babble , is a great recipe for disaster ! and unless one want to believe a Gods exist who liked to create grave possibility for faith disasters ! , it’s almost impossible to even think these words are anything more than being mere thoughts of ancient men still lacking greatly in some very valuable modern experience and knowledge .

For Revelation 3:15  would be far safer to be written : Only a complete fool ever turns a tap straight to scalding hot . And oh how i wish the wert at least careful in the luke warm , that at least dont promote to much of the bigotry and grave danger of folks adopting ! the faith guru : Garfield Syndrome

Because as ScienceDaily reports this test found out :

“Obviously, anxiety can be negative because if you have too much, you’re paralyzed with fear,” he says. “However, it also serves a very useful function in that it alerts us when we’re making mistakes. If you don’t experience anxiety when you make an error, what impetus do you have to change or improve your behaviour so you don’t make the same mistakes again and again?”

So the faithful “devoted” Garfield Syndrome is Grave danger and there is valid reason all Garfield’s should at least stick to the luke warm otherwise somebody gonna go getting burned ! .

L .o. L … And wouldn’t you know it the ScienceDaily Aug. 4, 2010 edition states :

Brain Study Shows That Thinking About God Reduces Distress — But Only for Believers

Yeah funny that …. Did ?!…. they ready need to do those tests to figure that out . Oh but that’s right . It’s about Science . It’s about testing things proper . Recording the data . Cracking the codes and the study of part of the psychology of faith and religion .

From this 2010 edition of  ScienceDaily   it says : “Thinking about religion makes you calm under fire. It makes you less distressed when you’ve made an error,” says Inzlicht.

Oh what ? …. you mean like should a Jim Jones Garfield come under fire with regards to suggestions of a need for some use of healthy scepticism , this faith Garfield will be calm under fire ? and less distress about their error ?.

Oh well that explains how they all ended up dead faithful Jim Jones flavoured Christian Garfield’s . There was little chance of helping them . It was all in the application of  “prayer” and “devotion” and “faith” brain-dead relaxation methods under fire .

This report suggests these lower stress levels can lead to longer living and some people can be happier and healthier . But one wonders , just what use it is to a human to be psychologically happier and healthier , if you still soon end up dead in a Jim Jones Cult ?. And one also wonders ! how healthy it really is , if somebody elses Garfield type health and happiness needs to come at the cost ! of great stress and and bad health and worry and unhappiness of somebody else ! , such as the live family and friends , that still suffer ! from the bad memory’s of their loved ones who died in the Jim Jones Garfield faith cult member slaughter saga ?. Why should benefits of faith meditation methods be suggested as healthy and helping the happiness and longevity of certain people  …… If it also so happens to be un-beneficial to others and even cause them more distress ! and worry and be detrimental to their life expectancy ? .

It’s probably not very good . In fact it’s probably downright disgusting and maybe even highly un-thoughtful also ! . But then faith often being about taking a Gamble and being that people addicted to gambling don’t often tend to consider the effect of their gambling addiction on anyone else . If you asked one of these Garfield types if they thought it was quite ok . Be prepared sometimes to possibly need to face the far off , far out distant stoned starry-eyed look !

And besides, Jesus told me he want me to tell you he really loves you too! Brother

That stoned starry-eyed look that been the great comfort and free ticket to delusional health & longevity of the Garfield Cats who seem to think life is all good ! and healthy just so long as they are the ones feeling all relaxed and happy

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
