Religion The Opium Of The People.

Religion is used as a type of motivational philosophy . And can become a bit like the opium of the people. Motivational philosophy can be very positive ,but also becomes a huge negative too if people ever start abusing by becoming drunk and addicted on it.

It’s a good thing to try our best to “focus more” on  positive thoughts and things for sure. But still sometimes it can be just as positive too, for us to focus on some more negative things as well. Otherwise they may become far more less-likely to even change much.

Life is indeed like a forge where some hardships we experience, can help us build our characters. Like living in a truck with our family,if we don’t have a proper home to live in.

Many different types of motivational philosophies are used , some involve God ,while  some others don’t . Even yoga and martial arts use types of motivational philosophies , today they may even have some company corporate group bonding sessions too. All these people using the mind over matter type philosophies.

But one needs to read up on social sciences to really start to gain in any real sort of proper understanding, of  all the sorts of problems and continuing ailments that will arise and naturally should linger onward, via huge divisions that exist within family units. Specially when caused via religion ,as evidently religion is really supposed to based on will of God, and love and understanding kindness and more.

Its one thing for philosophy to use motivational methods as a positive to try and help us overcome hardships in life. But alas its no longer such a positive thing that these philosophies might also suggest us to try and also use this same sort of philosophy to try and help us forget the ongoing pain and harm continually being caused via religious divisions existing within our societies.

Such thinking creates an equation that promotes a positive and a negative as supposedly equaling some sort of real honest plus ?. Yet we do understand how plus-1 and then minus -1  , actually only leaves us with a type  progress = 0

It’s never such a wrong thing , that religious divisions should indeed need to continue to cause us such grief and extreme ongoing sadness too. Im picking maybe even Jesus might also tend to contiue to feel very grieved and sad at ongoing faith-abuses . Crikey we might even need to start wondering what we might have allowed ourselves to have become ? , if indeed we might have become more like machines that such ongoing sadness would have ceased to continue to tear away at our hearts.

If i could be without everything else that i own ,and swap it instead for a life living within a truck TOGETHER WITH FAMILY.

You can sure as hell  bet your bottom dollar i surely would be one of the first to choose it  . For it is not anything much about material posessions what grieves me.

It’s so important that we would remember read up more on social sciences, before we would feel we even understood enough, to start to judge ongoing reasons why so-many people are continually being effected they way they do. Through division of family and friends caused via abusive religions.

If we use any philosophies to dull feelings that might cause us to miss friends and family , surely we will have become far-more like machines , and sadly even more so than a number of social grouped animals are.

And how very extremely sad would that be ?

Sadly when some faithful  folk would allow themselves to have become drunk and addicted to religious faith-opium. It can seem to have become more like we are living among some of the living dead ,than it might tend to seem like living among any real honest warm blooded beings,  that would have allowed  its heart to continue to speak loud and clearly.

And sadly today many humans do seem to have allowed such things to happen. And might even feel they see those that hurt because of it ,as having something lacking within ,and being those who are thought to be kind of weak ? or something .

But in this world why would we want to continue to promote hard-hearted attitudes ?.  When we already know how very littered many of our streets have all seemed to have become with too-many such hard-hearted types of folk.

Motivational philosophies are really great ,so long as they remain working with whats positive. And they cannot afford to allow themselves to get addicted to forms of opium that helps turn a man into beingfar too much like a heartless machine .

For when we allow that to have happened, we will end up with these groups like the exclusive brethren around us. Just as has happened.

I’m not ashamed at all , that my heart would continue to grieve and continue to live in some sadness about this situation that still exists . And maybe more religious folk might really need to be asking ? why it is that many more religious folk dont seem to be grieving so much ? about this matter .

In my opinion . I just cant help wonder if maybe we might have even already changed these matters for the better, many generations ago !!, had we not continually puffed ourselves up and continually use motivational-methods to have hardened our hearts the way we have often tended to.

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
