War on Christianity

Many religious folk like to think there is a war being waged against Christianity at present. Some may even say there is a war being waged against religion in general .

Read about it here or here and elsewhere as well

And cults like the Exclusive Brethren group (one “exclusive”/”closed group”, as descendants of a number of different Plymouth brethren offshoot’s/schisms) Will also like to kid themselves that they are presently under attack  and are being “persecuted” in a war being aimed at the complete destruction of the beliefs of their group. As these cults often will tend to do . Not so-unlike how many other more “main-stream” religious folk may also tend to react as well. Its a somewhat common trait they share

The narcissistic tendency of religion in general .Like what i discussed in my last post . Wont allow many of these religious folk to dare to stop for a moment or two, to consider in some great depth . As to whether , or not, some of their own past/present action’s, might also have something more to do with the problems they now experiencing at this moment in time. In regards to peoples disrespect, of religious practices.

Because their beliefs are founded so very deeply on the idea, of these humans ability of living within a form of holy-righteousness . Therefore even the mere thought that they may have messed up real badly .Seems like a thought so extremely repugnant.  Such thoughts can tend to have a reaction, somewhat akin, to someone throwing a bucket of water at a cooking-fat-fire .

Yet if these religious folk cared to really consider history. They might understand that in times past and present, religions often were/are the groups whom waged wars on other peoples traditional belief’s, and ways of living. And nearly everywhere that new land’s were being colonized by colonial powers , religious type-wars were then also being waged on these indigenous peoples traditional beliefs and ways of life.

Theists of many kinds (who may now lay claims of persecution) . Strangely enough will also find it so-easy to simply overlook these matters. They gladly let information like this roll right over the top of their heads.

Religious folk. Specially some of those living within America . Will not be so likely to stop and even deeply consider the situation of anti-atheism that they have been brought up within. A belief that likely has its roots set way-back within ancient roman times . And carried on into early modern period too .And beyond

Id suggest, it might be mighty hypocritical of many theists to try claim persecution . When the history of their religious beliefs often points to their own long-standing involvement in such matters .

There is a saying that goes something like this :

“You kick a dog long enough, it bites back”

That’s the sort of situation we are experiencing with the “so called war” against religion these days

pic-dog-bitesSome theist are angered about action of President Barack Obama type people that exist today . They are angered about what they feel is loss of their rights.

Yet how many of these peoples religious-beliefs have already been busily infringing ? on the life and beliefs of other people around them. For many decades now

Heaps have . But they just don’t often bother to even stop to consider that. Do they. The thought just goes right over their head. For this is one symptom of the collective narcissist trait.

Much about religion really needs to change its act. Or else its pretty much going to be only doomed to fade-out, in the long run.

For hundreds of years now. Religion has stood by . While many faith abuses have been allowed full-freedom, to just continue on as they please.Unhindered

In the long term. There is no hope for religion to continue to exist. If this attitude doesn’t start to change, in a great hurry

Most likely the new Pope already understands this. And even atheists have developed respect . Its something not so hard to do. When we can actually see this sort of real-progress in change of religious-attitudes

For there is no war on religion , per se.

There is only a war happening against the existence of many ongoing religious abuses. That’s the reality

If theists would really like to think that their faith-abuses, will still be reserved a place in this more and more modern-society, to continue onward in the future . Forever and evermore

We can surely say .They are truly a bunch of very deluded folk indeed.

Faithful folk who choose to fight-on against these reforms. In the long term. Will only end up living like Hitler/Saddam Hussein types of people in the end. Forced into hiding away, within dingy bunkers somewhere. To await their fate. Finally being rooted out of their hideaways,  like some lost lonely rat’s

Slowly but steadily becoming overtaken by the relentless , ever-onward trend,of these worldwide humanitarian reform’s.

Nothing will stop this . Nothing can stop this

No longer can these tyrants keep information and news of these abuses.Hidden away in secret. Being kept from reaching attention of the general public’s eyes and ears . Of humanity worldwide

Thanks in big-part. To invention of the internet

Obviously Pope Francis has some real-wisdom and forward-thinking vision, in regard to knowledge of this .

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
