Suicide

It’s not easy to leave these cults and closed groups. People born into these places often also have all their family and relations living in there. Stable, healthy families are at the heart of strong societies . And family breakdown isn’t healthy for anyone . There are people whom already know this well enough.

There is plenty of other information available elsewhere on the subject too. So long as people care enough to take a look into it.

Trouble is . Many people still don’t see it as being such a problem . That is, unless it affects them personally. Sadly too often, that’s the way humanity still is .

More than enough people have tried leaving the exclusive brethren cult . And a number come to grief . The thing is this , no two people are totally the same as people are born with different personalities . No two people will have the same situation to deal with when they leave either. Some may be lucky enough to be able to keep a good family network on the outside . Others may not.

It’s not like these humans are in full control of these factors of life.

A number of exclusive brethren people have found life far too hard to deal with. Thus they chose suicide as their answer. Take a look here (material cited under law of fair use)

How many more ? suicides will it take . Until society in general decides enough is enough.

The thing is . Many governments or government agencies have basically been supporting some of these groups . By issuing them with charity status. Or perhaps by allowing their meeting places to be rate free.

And then when some government agency finally grows enough balls to question it . Other groups/people may even seem far more concerned about saving their own skin .

And so the sad saga goes . Year in year out . Generation after generation. Elders in churches everywhere will sit and ponder at the state of this modern world, wondering why the youth these days seem to care so little about others living around them. They may class it as evil or as being of the devils work etc. Yet these church elders make up a big part of societies role models, that these youth of today have all grown up among. If people don’t care to fix faith abuses and suchlike. Then why ? expect the youth of today to have evolved with caring attitudes either

Seems someone has done their maths wrong.

Rex (material cited under law of fair use) was one of many whom tried to escape and live on the outside. But like i said , its well-known how stable, “healthy families” are at the heart of strong societies. And Rex wasn’t lucky enough to have one.

I was told that Rex phoned his brother in NZ sometime in the morning. His brother wasn’t around to personally receive the call. But on being told of the call, had decided to phone Rex back later on that day. But sadly by then it was too late. Rex couldn’t be contacted . Dead people don’t tend to answer their phones.

Sadly Exclusive Brethren in general are not well-known to fully understand the urgency of certain situations. In part because they have grown up within a hierarchy that can be callous and harsh. And people who believe in living for eternity, may not tend to see how today really matters so very much.

To my knowledge the brother of Rex could be a person who perhaps sometimes didn’t understand the full urgency of certain situations . And to my knowledge it also wasn’t the first time he had come into contact with a disturbed aggravated family member either. And i know for a fact on at least one previous occasion earlier on in life, when another disturbed family member had threatened to commit suicide. On approaching the situation after being told that it was about to happen ,this brother had pointed out how the slip knot had not actually been tied properly. Thankfully this particular situation, at that time, was also able to be defused

Yet it’s not so very surprising is it that these sorts of situations can occur within such groups . I mean to say when Hitler was busy amassing the troops . How many ? living within the confines of that group, were opposed to the way things were going down.

People seem to get pulled along with the momentum of the way things generally are. The sheeple trait takes over control .

It may be a tough road to choose , should the charity commission over in England decide there is need to stand its ground.

Kevin’s (material cited under law of fair use) final mix was at least a very final end to a harsh life .We can be somewhat thankful for that. I have little doubt that for Kevin he found how no amount of drugs he swallowed could ever fully take away the pain he were forced to live with. Goodbye Cruel World was the road he chose.

But then that’s the way things roll . When so many other people around continually choose not to ever open their eyes up to the ongoing situation. It doesn’t come for free . For there is always a cost .

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
