Quote : A Year Without God: A Former Pastor’s Journey Into Atheism http://www.huffingtonpost.com/ryan-j-bell/a-year-without-god_b_4512842.html

End quote

This is the story of a Pastor, and his struggle in dealing with the ongoing tyranny existing within theism. He became a critic . Which can be a tough choice to take, within any theists circles. Even if you are a theist , you can put yourself within a place, where many theist people will all begin to dislike you. Simply because theism is become literally riddled with so many forms of tyranny. Theists, and even those who gravitate toward’s protection of theist’s and theism also, will all tend to prefer to help create large group’s of “toe-suckers” (aka ->brown noser’s , gutless groveler’s ,people who will agree to “suck-up”,so as to fit-in).

And so there is some ex eb around ,who still can’t seem to even “fathom“, why the peebs net site might have ended the way it did . And there are ex eb ,who will still refuse to even discuss anything much about it either.

Go figure !

Quote :”Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it” -> George Santayana End quote

One wonders . So how do people ? even begin to remember things about the past. If they would also, totally refuse to discuss it.

I can’t see how

Can a forum ? even begin to become like another cult. You bet it surely can do. Especially among people whom still may have some tendency, to be inclined to go looking for guru’s. With whom to become “faithful” followers of.

I never felt like i could even begin to fit-in within ex eb circles. I suppose maybe because i may have grown to be far too-much of a wild colonial boy. You see ,i do so hate to feel that feeling of being”fenced-in“. Feelings of being forced to remain silent ,and of not being allowed to speak my mind.

And so, some people like myself ,will often also tend to become classed as being the “militant atheist” types

Quote :Ian2 January 2014 12:28 “Militant atheists sometimes cite features of EBism as an example to show that Christianity is false, immoral and harmful, and their arguments in books sell very well and are probably influential. “http://laurencemoffitt.blogspot.co.nz/2014/01/this-recently-received-comment-is.html#comment-form End quote

People from within theist circles , don’t much like anyone who dare’s “rock the boat” and question matters. They may often demand freedom themselves. But however, maybe also wont much-like allowing it , either.

So . Anyone who differ’s in opinion = someone militant

And so .I’d say, that most likely Pastor Ryan J Bell , is also now dealing with a good-dose of this theist-infused tyranny himself. In fact, pretty much as soon, as he told theist-folks he was going to explore atheism. They pretty much turned on him . Kind of almost “disowned” him , in a way.

He was asked to resign. When he really didn’t want to resign.

Which to me, seems to still more of less amount to getting sacked anyway. Perhaps one might like to call it as a “passive” form of sacking. Why? .Well maybe perhaps because it just “sounds” better. Or “looks” better.

Because such folks will focus on what something sounds and looks like. And will look for any wriggle-room , to escape reality

Next thing Pastor Ryan J Bell finds himself without a job, forced into living without an income. And fast running out of money. So some atheists helped out, by asking people to help out. These were atheist, who had also even publicly criticized the Pastors experiment.

Quote :”Atheist blogger Hemant Mehta, who criticized the ex-pastor’s experiment, came to Bell’s rescue Monday when he started a gofundme campaign to raise $5,000. As of Tuesday afternoon, the campaign had raised more than $17,000 and counting.” http://www.christianpost.com/news/atheists-donate-thousands-to-former-pastor-ryan-bell-who-lost-jobs-for-trying-out-atheism-for-a-year-112196/ End quote.

And now Pastor Bell even has his own blog too . So why not? go visit it here http://yearwithoutgod.com/

In my opinion , Pastor Bell will very soon be likely to find out, what it’s actually like, to dare question things that some other people may already hold as a foregone conclusion. He may soon fully find out, what its like to dare debate and speak his own mind , with any real honest passion.

Maybe ? in time to come. The Pastor will just be deemed as being militant too

The world is become  full of so-many people, rather like the ex eb Ian (who iv’e quoted) , whom will only care to class people whom passionately differ in opinion , as being militant.

Why ?

Well in my opinion. It maybe because theism has helped create on earth a huge breed of toe-sucker’s. Brown noser’s. A great herd of sheeple-minded type people. Mega groups of passive guru-followers. People who will also thus, quite naturally rather far prefer, to just allow the “other educated” folk, to be allowed to do the thinking for them.

And so, anyone who dares differ in opinion, with any real passion. Is thus automatically deemed to just be a militant.

But.I don’t so-much mind being classed militant myself. I mean. Why ? should i even be so worried about it. The thing is this, i know how i even tried to warn some of these ex eb folk, about how forms of tyranny, can just as easily begin to re-invent and repeat itself.

But of course ,some people , tend to far prefer having the brown noser’s.The toe suckers. Don’t they ?

And yet many of these kind of people, will also still try to figure out, and will even enter into endless amounts of discussion too, in wondering why cults like Ebism ,can have formed. The way they did.

Don’t they understand ? how anyone who dared disagree ,with passion. Might have just been deemed as militant, in these cases as well too.

People like Ian have been through university. Have passed exams.Studied massive amounts of literature.

Folks like that, won’t tend to like any un-educated lay-man daring to question their opinions/conclusions. No siree

Yet we know how it’s no real secret , that even intelligence services, the world over, don’t always get things right either http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/07/130723073955.htm. Highly trained, extremely educated folk at that.

Fact is . There is more than one form of intelligence. Some involves getting highly educated, and learning to pass exams etc. While other forms may involve people thinking abstractly. That’s why science find’s out how , maybe.

Quote: “Even When Test Scores Go Up, Some Cognitive Abilities Don’t” http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/12/131211131949.htm End quote

The world has allowed to have gotten itself in a huge big mess really ,in so many ways. What with collapsed economies, and so on .

People have allowed it to happen

So how ? did that happen then. If people were? taking real interest, in thinking about matters themselves. It people were? demanding to keep their right to also analyze all these sorts of matters for themselves.

They just didn’t bother

That’s how these things happen. For they had all become many followers of guru’s. Brown nosers. A huge flock of sheeple-minded people.

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
