Jesus Of Nazareth. Builder Of Churches Bridges

Most of what we have to read, about ideas of the philosopher Jesus. Suggests he were more like a bridge builder.Rather than being a church builder.

Jesus may have discussed there being “a” church . Building “his” church .A grouping of people in the singular sense. As can be read about in the scripture, Mathew 16:18

Quote :

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

End quote (my bold)

So here he talks about building his church.

He doesn’t say anything at all about, any need, of any other people building their own flavor of Church too.

Not that i can see anywhere anyway. And people are quite welcome too, to just correct me if i’m wrong somewhere about that.

In fact if i expand on this verse. I read how parts of chapter 16,would seem to almost speak of the great dangers involved in allowing other people to set up different churches, and doctrines . In a willy-nilly haphazard way

Quote : “Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.”

End quote

And here, further in-depth commentaries explain it

The word yeast, is used here in the sense of describing certain situation’s, that can begin to occur like a cancer. Jesus is concerned about forces that would seek to try to unsettle and divide his church-up. He was merely warning his followers to be more aware, of such people existing within their midst, with direct-intent, of purposely doing that.

Jesus wasn’t concerned, with suggesting any need for creating different forms of separation (churches). In which to separate and confine people within different groupings. As would naturally have surely needed to occur, should Jesus have felt any fear or concern, that his own philosophy, might not  stand up to vigorous discussion, via thought of “outsiders”

For we read how Jesus is more than happy to enter both company, and ongoing dialog, with the “outsiders” (Pharisees ,Sadducees)

His concern here, is focused on their (the Pharisees ,Sadducees) “extreme intent”, to try to disrupt , and thus divide the group-up

For little doubt , the Pharisees ,Sadducees also fully understood , how they needed to try to find new ways to be able to become guru’s /masters in charge of their own flock’s/group’s

Which wouldn’t have been made possible. With people’s acceptance of the “all inconclusive stance” that Jesus philosophy stood for.

For while all people remained somewhat-united. Then there was no room even being made available, for divisive people ,to move in on

So it seems Jesus was busy warning ,those that he hoped would carry his message forward, on through. To always remember to be very aware of the people within their midst, whom would try using tactics of division.

He was merely warning them to just be very-aware of it, is all. He was not warning them against keeping them company. Neither was he warning them against entering into continued discussion with them either. For time and again, we do read, how Jesus even seemed to promote the idea of benefits gained via company with outsiders, and therefore vigorous discussions that also took place

He was only concerned that they would also need to still be very aware, of some people, whom would exist, and choose to have extreme intent to disrupt and divide society. To use to their own advantage

For Jesus was more of a bridge builder.Someone who was seen to be more that willing to put aside differences, so as to find common ground. Bridges are built with open ends that allow all people to freely flow back and forth past each other, as they please.

While Church building’s, all have walls and doors, that can be used to shut certain type people inside, and others outside. They are purposely designed for this

The church of Jesus , was outside out among the people. Out among everyone. Everywhere that Jesus was able to visit. Jesus church, was a church being built, more within the “metaphorical” sense . And it was boundless

This phenomena continually happened time and time again.Jesus had time for all sorts of people. And even, if it were much to the great disgust of some people too

Bridge 2

For the philosophy of Jesus was far more like that of a bridge builder. Open ended. Open and available to anyone. He built his church, his temple, out-side,right out there in among the multitude. His church had no walls. Its outreach, thus way, also would become boundless. Having room for all people

This way ,there was also no way that Jesus could even attempt to charge a fee, for people hearing his philosophy/ministry. For it was always made open for all to hear and share . Church of Jesus, was more about people living day to day life together

Yet Christians have chosen to build their many Churches, as structures shared by people there confined within four walls. Thus their Church structure’s, will naturally need to create limits to how many humans can be accommodated

Where as Jesus church really only existed in the metaphorical sense.

Jesus mention’s the word church (which is referring to “church” in the singular sense).

Christians have changed that idea , into something very different. For they went ahead and have freely allowed many “Churches” (referring to plural)of so many domination’s to be developed and built right across the land. So much so, that by now today, in this year 2014, it is already being reported that there evidently is, approximately 41,000 Christian denominations. With more and more yet, still continually being created too, from time to time

And strange enough ,some of these groups cannot even be defined, as really being anything so significant, in any real great difference.

No . Because it’s obviously got far more to do with a very sad situation whereby religion has been allowed full freedom to go haywire .

It has more to do with people (Christians. The flock) becoming so very unaware of both the presence and intent , of what those Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s type folks plans are about.

So totally unaware had they allowed themselves to become. That they have indeed freely allowed the Pharisees and Sadducee’s (type people) to have the right to promote need of people to continually divide and separate off, into Churches

Jesus mentioned his Church . That’s referring to the word Church, in the “singular” sense

Not the Popes Church. Not the Church of Benny Hinn. Not the Church of Creflo (Free Flow) A. Dollar. And not the Church of Bruce Hales and the Exclusive Brethren, either.

No,seems Jesus purposely referred to a philosophy that would remain all-inclusive. His Church . Our Church

Most likely because Jesus understood, that people/society, existing within this form of philosophy. That would thus choose to retain room for everyone.

Would thus way also remove likelihood, of any ground ever being made available, for the Pharisees and Sadducees type people ,to choose to use to make a stand on. In which to claim, as being their own “turf”

Because the only way that type scenario exists, enabling these people to claim  themselves as being something “special” .

Would be to create a system ,that also only allows room for certain special-types of people to exist within.

For as soon as any division has been instigated.

1.Then the sooner there will also be a group of disaffected people. The “outsiders”

2.For the Pharisee’s and Sadducee’s types , to seduce, and then lay claim and control of such people. So as to class them as faithful followers of themselves . And thus be able to become their own “masters” or “guru’s” of. For only then can they find a way,in which to also start charging money (taxes) .With which to help make themselves richer

Jesus was more of a bridge builder. For Jesus was indeed a very wise man. A man with wisdom, that went far beyond wisdom of those ancient times.Back in ancient times when many times, there was all manner of laws and legality’s, surrounding so many religions. That continually burdened,  controlled, taxed and harmed many people, like the deadly evasive cancerous scourge that it is

The wisdom of Jesus had foreseen a way in which to try and help end this ongoing burden

But what did they do ?

Seems like they chose to continue it. They even choose to promote it . They even faithfully claimed it to be something about maintaining right of freedom of religion.

Which was quite often a foolhardy declaration of ignorance for some people to suggest. While it was sadly also more about willful blatant deceit too, with more than a few people involved. In willingly leading the fools onward in the ways of their own ignorance

And thus way, so many have allowed themselves to be indoctrinated and convinced, that it is truly something about upholding freedom of religion

They faithfully choose to believe this.

Even  all the while, that so many humans are still living all around them, under rules and regulation of loads of religious tyranny

Even if it be tyranny, to differing degrees

Even so, all the while we should be aware that some families are indeed being split and divided. As happens with cults. As has often happened within the Exclusive Brethren type groups . Which really doesn’t tend to help suggest, that freedom of religion is honestly being upheld

Because actually they have indeed allowed freedom to choose to wield, many forms of religious tyranny.

Very biggest problem is . They will also find it so hard, to care to accept this fact.

Because, for many thousands of years now, they have already continually laid claim, to have been true faithful followers of Jesus.

Thus how could ? they be found out as being so wrong

We clearly see how the Exclusive Brethren type groups don’t find it so-easy, to want to accept any blame of being wrong. And so likewise, other Christians wont find it so easy either, to want to freely accept their own part,to some degree in the sad situation that has developed.

Because they all have all ,already invested so much . In claiming to have occupied some form of higher moral ground

Jesus was a builder of bridges, with which to keep company with the whole multitude of people. He more than likely saw how there is immense human strengths ,to be gleaned from it

But sadly his followers still to this very day. Mostly seem to remain more than content, with continually building and maintaining their walls . That mostly serve only to find ways to promote and maintain, bigotry to help split and divide us

Theists try telling us atheists. That its God that provides us humans, with our intelligence . And theist also claim to have personal relationships with this God too

But we atheist’s, then cannot help but wonder. Why ? it is then, that we see how it seems like the theists are often those so slow to learn

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
