Angry Atheists

Ive often noticed, how many theists there seems to be, whom cant seem to even begin to fathom the reasons for why there might even be so many angry atheists around.

We will hear theist saying things something like this, “if you atheists don’t personally believe in the existence of some God, then why do you atheist even bother to care to be interested in what the-theists choose to believe.

Obviously when we hear theist saying this . Then we can also be pretty-sure ,that quite likely the theist hasnt even stopped to think, how their own faith-belief ,might still also be effecting other “non-believing” people too.

In almost exactly the same way, that it is likely that very few exclusive brethren will even bother to care to think how their faith belief ,might still also continue to effect some non-exclusive brethren too

Sadly, too often, some aspects of theism are inclined to lower the value of our earthly lives. And being that theists in general, will all tend to think that this life on earth isn’t going to be the last life that we will ever have.

Then it follows-on from that, that theists in general, will also be those people whom are less likely to get so angry

Here is a good you tube video, which i feel touches on a few of these points

An atheists understanding of life (“worldview”) , is that this one-life here that we know we have here on earth . Will also be likely to be, the one and only chance that we will ever get ,to try and do our very best to make the very most of.

Yet too often, our lives are still being effected by the existence of the theists worldview, or beliefs. For instance , our offspring may not get to have contact with their grandparents ,or get to know their relations in the manner that many other children will be likely to enjoy .

Simply because religion has been allowed to become so powerful , that it can even have the right to be freely allowed to be causing us this kind of harm.

And yet theist will still often be heard to say something like this , “why don’t those atheists just bugger-off, leave us to our belief, and go mind their own business .

Go figure !!

As if some-how this problem?? is of absolutely no business of ours (us atheists)

Theism is riddled with this kind of blatant ignorance. This uncaring  and rather thoughtless nature.

1. It is very true that many of the exclusive brethren, are inclined to be rather thoughtless, in the manner that they dont seem to even care to even stop to consider ,about how their own beliefs ,are possibly also still effecting other people too whom are not even within their group

2. But yet the roots of this kind of uncaring thoughtlessness, also runs far deeper, than merely only existing within these cult groups

In fact the exclusive brethren have actually inherited the roots of their thoughtlessness , from within the wider-pool of thoughtlessness, that also still exists within much of mainstream religion as well too

Of course, i understand how im not likely to become the “flavor of the month”, by making these kind of statements. Because i understand how many theists there are ,whom will still love to see their flavor of faith as being the sacred-cow. So thus they will look to try and blame the whole problems, entirely on the existence of these cults .

Which is a cop-out

As if these cults had ever? become so extremely powerful. That they could somehow have actually ruled the roost. As if these cults have some how been able to do (the kind of detrimental harm) what they have chosen to do, without it first having being allowed and “sanctioned” within the wider pool of Christianity too

These cults are only able to survive ,within the boundary that have already been set, by the wider pool of faithful folk . Hence why we also never see ,so many mainstream Christians ,busily complaining about how these cults are busy treating people

Theism , the belief that there is some life after death . Is thus-way also naturally inclined, to devalue , this life that we do know that we have here on earth

And yet theists wisdom, would have them expecting, that the atheist would have absolutely no valid-reason ,to ever feel very angry about that

Even some “scholarly” theist such as Ian Mckay ,may still struggle sometimes to even begin to properly understand, the very valid reasons, for so much atheist anger

For sometimes there is still a gap, that can continue to exist, between intelligence, and rationality.People can still be extremely intelligent, without being quite so-rational

If a theist has become so “focused” and “finely-tuned” ,toward their own personal thoughts and beliefs in the existence of some form of eternity. Then they may then have also become far less likely, to even have the ability needed, to be able to be “tuned into” properly considering how some other different folks (atheists) feelings might have evolved

Someone like this, may tend to wrongfully judge atheist anger as being something that is unwarranted

Thus they are also somewhat inclined to see us as militants

These folk have often overlooked, the great-injustice that exists, within the many ways, that theism has been allowed the full-freedom to devalue the earthly-lives of so many atheists

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
