Atheism is there to stay

Quote :

“Atheism is growing by leaps and bounds in all 50 states,” he said. “We’ve seen studies that show 34 percent of millennials are non-believers as is 20 percent of the total population.”

While only 1 percent of Americans admitted to being atheists in 2005, that number rose to 5 percent in 2012 and only seems to be increasing with each year, he said.”

”  are better suited for raising children than religious ones”

Personally.Ive always found, that pretty much wherever there are some religious minded folk. Then there is also a lack of freedom of speech. And in big-part too, this is also how religion has always been able to remain so dominant ,up until now.

The funny thing is,that i will often even see some religious minded folk as well too, whom are busily getting real-angry , in a rather public manner (online) , about how they feel (themselves) that their own level of freedom of speech, is being stifled to some degree, in some way. By some religious friends and acquaintances of theirs

And im quietly thinking. So what ?. You do actually realize how you are dealing with some other religious folk, right ?? . As if?? religion has ever been so-much about freedom of thought ,and freedom of speech

And yet i’ve even known times when these very-same people themselves too, have also publicly asked, that any people whom have alternative-views.Would just please leave , and go-away, and go voice their opinions elsewhere

I sometime think to myself . I wonder if these folk will even ever? think in any depth about doing-that. Will they? be able to see the obvious parallels of this kind of habitual-practice that obviously exists all around about them, within the whole religious atmosphere.

When will they ever wake-up ? , and begin to smell the roses

Some of these folk could even be said, to be the “learned” folk too. Perhaps like a school teacher, and other types of educated people . The kind of folk whom may have been put through a university. And so on

Folk whom we might have hoped, should surely have been able, to have an ability to work these kind of issues out for themselves

The biggest trouble is.Too often they are not even that-interested in looking for any kind of existing in-house problem. And so thus way they will also rather unwittingly, coerce themselves into willingly overlooking any widespread in-house problem

Yet they still all continue to yearn to be able to have their own true freedom of thought, for themselves,There own true freedom of speech

But can they?ever make a start, by making-sure that can happen, within themselves. By making bloody damn sure, that they would stop from ever helping to perpetrate, the very same-things that they can often be seen and heard to say that they so-despise .

I’m not sure that they can. I’m not sure that they have even bothered to think about it, ever, from this kind of angle .

Meanwhile atheism is continually moving on forward.Making more and more ground.Continually growing in numbers, worldwide. And on our atheist sites and blogs ,the right to “freedom of  thought and freedom of speech” , is most-often a right that is also something that is being honestly upheld

And our children these days are not so-stupid , or so-blind, as to not be able to see and experience it for themselves, in regards to this rather obvious-difference that exists, between the divide existing between theist and atheist

Yet even so , many a theist still seem to far prefer, to just bury their heads a little deeper, and deeper and deeper into the sand .

Maybe ?.Hoping that nobody will ever really notice anything is amiss

I guess when church people have sometime not even been so-bothered , to even care to perhaps at least be a bit skeptical, about all that is written and recorded within the holy books that they read. Then perhaps? these kind of folk are also not becoming so well equipped either, with whats really needed, to be able to have an ability to deeply consider, and actually solve, some other real life issues

And meanwhile the atheist movement continually gathers more and more momentum

For atheist don’t often tend to teach our children, that they shouldn’t have the right to question. Shouldn’t have a right, to freedom of speech. And so on

Theist’s will surely need to be changing their attitudes big-time, But waiting upon change to arrive within theist circles . Can seem much-like waiting for ever-and-ever for Jesus to suddenly return from the dead

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
