Train Wreck Within Faith

I have some doubt, that the average believer, may even begin to comprehend the full extent, of the sort of disastrous situation, that now exists worldwide, due to aspects of human belief in God.

Many seem to think that harm only ever happens , within certain groups, that are being classed as cults. That is reasons why , we see discussion with regards to “mainstream” church, verses situation within other groups , like cults.

Folks sitting within certain church groups, whom haven been effected in any detrimental way. Might figure, that this is the general rule. Lets face it, these folk will most-like, to only need to hear the good parts ,about their faith. The wonderful stuff. The aspects of faith, that will help to give them, more of that “warm fuzzy feeling”, in regards to belief in God

Like . How often? will church folk be reminded of the nasty stuff. The broken homes. The heartbreak. The suicides . And so on

How often? does the local preacher,at church, even care to share with their congregation , stories that could help enlighten these folk ,to the full amount of destruction that belief in God has helped deliver, to some folk.

How many? preachers might care to point members of their own congregation, towards sites, like this one here for one instance

Many ? . Bugger all ?

As ex exclusive brethren , we folk have often already been reminded, of just how very few Christians there are, worldwide , whom might even know anything much about the sort of problems that we folk have been forced to need to experience, for our whole lives

Because Christianity, is best bolstered, by only hearing about, all the warm fuzzy stuff . The good bits.

Not the bad stuff. That bad stuff, is what most Christian folk, wont ever care to need to be hearing ,about aspect of their belief . In much the same way, that those exclusive brethren folk too ,will also far prefer to only ever need to hear about the good stuff, about themselves

Because that way , they can sleep easy. They can feel safe, and can remain at peace, within their ignorance.

Folk within church are so sure, that it is their God, that is watching out for them. They will say thing like ,well God has provided for me .

Lets take our wikipeebia friend Fisherman (just for one instance). I feel pretty sure that he will figure, that it is due to his faithful belief in God, that has helped to keep him and his families lives safe.

His God is what helped his family stay together. God helped to deliver him both a mother and father (as far as i know) , whom were able to give their children, the love and guidance that helps children learn and grow. God delivered Fisherman with a father, whom could then teach Fisherman how to fish and hunt.Helped teach him many life skills, and so on

But what about my family ? . What went wrong there ?

In my family there was eight of us children that were born. And six of those children survived (two had passed away early on in their lives) .I’m the youngest one of the family,i’m youngest than all my siblings, by ten years. While our dad were alive,he had actively and verbally questioned the way that James Taylor jr had been acting . See here The Aberdeen incident . Our dad got pretty angry, and was very outspoken about it (an incident of which strangely enough, i even have some memory of myself even though i was only very young) publicly within church. But then our dad suddenly got bowel cancer. He died aged 38.,when i was by then 18 months of age. And i’d say our dad might even have felt that this might have happened to him, in part due to the fact that he had dared to actively question , the drunken action of Jame Taylor jr. Our dad might have even seen his own death ,as being a form of punishment

Our mum was then left a widow, with 6 children. Dad left me a letter. Within that letter ,it discussed things like how he felt, that his own death, was something to do with “will of God” . Things like that .And it instructed me to have faith in God. To take care of my mother, brothers and sisters . Etc . As time passed, sometimes members of my family would drag it out, of where it had be stored, and would then read it to me,when i were young. And each time they did, i would always find it pretty upsetting

Dad never taught us life skills. Never were able to teach us how to hunt and fish, and things like that. Our dad was unable to ever give any of us children guidance, through life’s problems. And then even our children too, would not ever have any grand dad either. Even worse , in the end, many of our children would also even end up with having no grand mother, as well . Early on in our life after dad died, there were times within our family life, when life had seemed (to me) to seem more like we were all living within some mental asylum, or something.Because all too often there was always much yelling and screaming, and general family dysfunction. And there was violence among siblings too.Violence that was sanctioned by our mum.Because she had 6 children that she needed to try to look after on her own. And in time, our whole family would slowly but surely end up being torn apart, and were being ripped to pieces.Love was not such a high priority within the exclusive brethren. Righteousness was of far more concern. To save souls. As some siblings were either being withdrawn from, while a couple of us then later-on would simply just choose to leave. So as to try and re-gather some kind of family life.Which by then, had already become a task, that were then pretty much impossible to ever acheive anyway.Because we never learned so much about real true love. And then even our ex eb uncle too ,would also need to be like some kind rabid fundamentalist, that through his Christian faith, had seemed (to me any way) to be almost void of natural love (not that it was his own fault, because he was also a victim,of this nasty faith abuse). And so on

  1. If were? God, that had helped to provide the kind life, for some people, like what Fisherman experience .
  2. Then surely God? must have also have had something to do with providing the kind of life, that our family got to experience too, right

How could? i believe this .  Is it? due to the Calvinist type belief, perhaps . Our lives are expendable, and perhaps some of us are just being used, like? pawns, within some twisted celestial type game of God-chess

For me. It seems unbelievable . For me ,it makes so much more sense ,if i see the picture, that God simply don’t even exist

It is about time that Christians worldwide ,would begin to care to deal with this Christian train wreck . Christian train wreck, that has been cemented within the bullshit of freedom of religion .

If they? actually do honestly care

Will ? people ,like Pope Francis, actually  be ready, to prove, that he cares. And what about? Her Majesty the Queen of England, the Supreme Governor of the Church of England . Can she help ?

Should? these abusive faith-groups, still continue to be receiving charity status, while they are also actively involved in ruining some people’s lives

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
