Theist styled “reasoning”

Theists, in general ,(to me)  almost seem to be using a form of reasoning which is somewhat different than usual . Its like

1.they start with an idea that they want to be true

2. Skip reasoning.Or perhaps pay it slim-interest to-it, at the very most

3. Then proceed to saying that it is thus been proved to be correct

But the reasoning (2) is not been dealt with properly. And so then as soon as we(skeptical folk like myself) are to decide to actually deal with (2) and in as such we feel would first need to subject it (the idea) to vigorous proper processes of scrutiny . Too often, the theists idea can then be found-out to have been foundered on bad judgement

For instance . Take this article (Again. As its a part the very same story that i has also just previously quoted within my last blog post too ) , and lets look at what a particular theist spokesman had had to say, about the “controversial” idea of “regulation” of religion . In this instance, the general issue, is the idea, that maybe Christianity actually also needs to have some form of regulation in South Africa

Quote :

“Reverend Moss Nthla of the Evangelical Alliance of South Africa, which has more than three million members, accepts that the Christian family is facing many challenges but says the government cannot be called upon to address spiritual matters.

It is difficult to see how the government would regulate churches; we’ve got reports of politicians themselves being faithful members of some of these controversial churches – some of which are a law unto themselves.

But what can be done?

“There needs to be at the very least, a bare minimum standard that we as Christians can set and adhere to and any church found to be operating outside of that needs to be stigmatised. We would have failed as church leaders if we do nothing,” said Reverend Nthla.”

end quote (my bold)

This theist , says It is difficult to see how the government would regulate churches; we’ve got reports of politicians themselves being faithful members of some of these controversial churches – some of which are a law unto themselves

Ok lets check this theists reasoning out. Lets put-it to some half decent scrutiny

1 .Theism shouldn’t be regulated

2 .Some theists are government politicians

3 .Therefore it is proved impossible that theism could ever be regulated by Governments

So is this correct ? . Has the reverend , done this world a favor, for his God

How about we change the words around a bit . Change the situation around ever so slightly. Just so as i can try to highlight (what i see) the folly of this reverend choice of reasoning formula

1.Our freedom of travel shouldn’t be regulated.Road codes shouldn’t be formed

2. Some speedster’s that love to speed and drive very dangerously on our roads, sometimes even driving while they are drunk , are also government politicians as well too

3. Therefore the governments are proved to thus obviously be an impossible choice , for anyone to ever try to use, so as to try to regulate how some-people may choose to drive

This is the type of reasoning-formula that ? some of these brain dead theist might try to use to argue the point with .

Right ?

And so very little wonder then, that many of these theist are also so often inclined, to want to try to close-down freedom of discussion

Their beliefs are based on a different formula of reasoning .Its full of holes.”Faith-based” It’s a formula adopted by faith . It is a formula that has also helped uphold many of these traditional false ideas for many generations now as well too

It’s so easy to teach oneself how to faithfully believe anything. So long as one also learns how to “forget” to care to question matters too-deeply

Most of them are more often than not, far too busy with concentrating most of all on focusing on the “end goal”.. Anyway

Such “blissful” thoughts … you know

They may have been taught from early childhood that “natural” reasoning needs to be watched. Or “avoided” sometimes too perhaps

And so the word avoid , gets used plenty too, i ? bet . Like lets just say that a theist might “avoid” thinking too-much about whether a God might exist. Yet because this theist can still say that they may have given these question at least some little amount of thought. Then they can then still find a way to comfort themselves, within their beliefs . Figuring that that will be plenty good-enough

This theists (the Rev) formula for good-reason, is so full of holes. It’s a joke. In general it may go something like this

  1. Fire arms shouldn’t be regulated by the police (this is the idea that the theist puts deep in their faith-head that they want to prove as correct)

2. And there are some policemen whom have been found-out to be criminals too. Some have even used guns for some criminal activities

3.Therefore the police force is obviously not the right way, for anyone to ever try to go about regulating gun ownership

And so on

Meanwhile these theists are helping to uphold faith abuses. Because they are taught how to use this type of formula

And to top matters off, this is how this idiot-theist is suggesting that these ongoing faith issues might all be dealt with . Every single faith abuse happening within a huge country

Quote the Rev :

“There needs to be at the very least, a bare minimum standard that we as Christians can set and adhere to and any church found to be operating outside of that needs to be stigmatised. We would have failed as church leaders if we do nothing,” said Reverend Nthla.”

end quote

So this rev theist has decided that “church pressure” will fix the problem

Really ?

And so then how? long has the Catholic church, been resisting the pressure for it to actually  need to be promptly addressing the sex abuses within the Catholic church

And if it has taken so long for this so-called “mainstream” church to start to comply and change

Then how long does the reverend expect that it might take ? . Until all the cults have also been addressed . You know . Even those faithful fuckers like the Westboro Baptist folk are like ?

Might be a bloody fucking long long? time waiting, for justice , for some poor extra-unlucky folk, then huh

Never mind. No great hurry. Some of those poor folk might die before they see change on this earth

But hey

The theists have already decided that there is also plenty of time to come in eternity. So these folk can see no real great hurry then huh !

Sometimes ive seen ex exclusive brethren members on site like the wikipeebia site. Resisting the idea that our governments should ever be allowed to intervene. They dont care to plug the idea of regulation. But are instead busy with an act of trying to shame the exclusive brethren cult , into complying with change

Whenever i see this . Im thinking to myself. And if the exclusive brethren were to comply and change . Then afterwards ? how many of these ex eb will still be there be ,caring to take any action , so as to help shame all the other may cults into compliance too

If the brethren cult were to fold and become mainstream. Would ? the fisherman still find enough energy and time, so as to go help shame all the other cults

Our would the Fisherman then just become a little more like the rest of the mainstream christian throng also are acting like today . Folks whom many wouldn’t even think to even give it a second-thought, as to what type of life it might actually be-like living, for some other poor unlucky bastard who  is trying to live with the cunt of a life ,that had been delivered to him’her, via their birth-parents

Many of these brain dead folk, will also still be faithfully inclined, to think that their God is so in control of matters , that they may even consider that it is God whom also decides who the parent of each and every child will be

So then they also dont think it would be right , to intervene in God ultimate plan

And yet this reverend (within this news article that i quoted above) , is already been convinced that we should have good reason to be able to rely on these faithful folk

He’s been brainwashed to be faithful following theist ideas and mantras that have been continually passed on down the line

Whats? the bet that it is possible that a number of ex eb , possibly wouldn’t even be bothered (one bit) to be giving it even a damn-thought about any faith abuses . But for the fact that they themselves had been forced to need to have experienced some faith-abuses personally themselves

And sadly. This is the sort of evil that still permeates right throughout religion

(ps.Yes. And i have purposely used swear words within my post. Im a little fucking angry about this ongoing issue. And with no apology either. For indeed i do feel that there is no-more time-left for niceties. Time to wake up and smell the roses )

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
