New Limits to Religious Freedom

Quote

It goes without saying that there are limits to religious freedom. There have to be.

end quote (my bold)

Who would argue with that ? . Makes sense. Seems obvious

And yet plenty of people are still pretending/acting like as if it’s something they would have reason to fear losing. Some propose that we would suddenly step onto a slippery slope

This proposal amount to fear mongering. For these reason

  1. We already are forced to deal with a slippery slope now already anyway (so why bother to fear monger about it). The slippery slope of luck that exist between people unlucky to be fated with being born into cult abuse, compared to the lives of other people whom have luck of being born within more mainstream church groups of what don’t cause the amount of harm like what cults do
  2. There has already been certain amount of regulation imposed upon religion now already anyway ,regulations which already go some way toward helping to regulate certain aspect of harm

Regulating harm is the key. Regulating harm, doesn’t amount to loss of religious liberty.Does it?. Unless their are faithful people who’d still like to be able to be causing people harm

And the sky still hasn’t suddenly fallen in on anyone’s head yet.Has it?.Christianity has not been closed down.Regulations already imposed, have not led society to act irresponsibly , by over-imposing forms of regulation .Has it?. Therefore there is no slippery slope of what humans would need to become extra fearful of

Is there?

Those fears are unfounded. Those fears, are more or less baseless irresponsible acts of fear mongering, when measured up to real evidence of what we can observe has actually happened

Right?

The sky has still not fallen in on Christian people heads. Nobody is trying to stop Christian from practicing faith. No one is demanding that Christian cannot have their faith in Jesus. Nobody is demanding that any Christian be forced to need to become gay either. Christians all still remain free to be able to choose and decide about that for themselves, in regard to those choices

Right?

All that has occurred, is that certain degree of regulation, has been brought in,but only so as to help regulate aspect of extreme harm, a little more

Why would Christian fear that?. Why would Christians bother to actively fear monger and rally against it?

What would even make them want to ?

Imagine if the regulation still wasn’t in place, like for instance regulation to help protect lives of any Children who’s parents might want to refuse to allow blood transfusion for their children? . Or parent who might refuse to allow their own children to use medical care that could help cure the children’s cancer?.Who’d prefer to rely totally on prayer

Those regulation, have been already brought in. So when and where did we suddenly step onto any slippery slope, like what some like to fear monger an claim that we would ?

While these fear mongers are busy spreading their fear mongery. We are already perched on a harmful slippery slope already now anyway, the slope of what already exist between people whom are unlucky to be born into cult abuses , compared to those whom are lucky enough to not to need to be. This is the slippery slope that already cause havoc within unlucky people’s lives.

Its senseless to expect change to develop from within cults themselves. Senseless to have faith that very lost people whom are known to have followed crazy beliefs (Crazy belief like the silly stupid idea the devil attacks people, when their excrement is combined with other non believers excrement. Or swimming at the beach is evil. And so on)

These people are very lost. They are stupid. They have been more or less forced/coerced into living very close minded lives, for far too long . These people are unlikely far less likely to become good leaders (IE: they haven’t been equipped with the capability ,due to bad luck of being coerced to need to exist, within backward close minded groups)

So . They are by now somewhat unable to act as responsible well rounded people might be expected to do. And for a number of reason

So who in their right mind, would bother to hold much hope, that these kind of people would ever be so inclined to be the ones who’d actually start to lead the way forward ?

That doesn’t make good sense (its expecting whats pretty much obviously highly unlikely)

The leadership obviously need to start from the top. From outside-in .From within the more enlighten real Christian mainstream (outside). It makes more sense right? .

I challenge any ex eb to argue where i’m wrong?

When regulation were finally imposed upon any faithful crazy groups who’d liked to be able to rely on prayer alone, rather than medication, to try to cure their children

The leadership ,that help to bring these regulation in to stop this harmful faith, had came from outside of the crazy groups that had followed practiced these dangerous/harmful faith  .

Makes sense ?

The world didnt wait around for every whack job cult, to finally decide it for themselves

Did they?

So then.Where is the mainstream Christian conscience ? . In regard to this cult harm of what is still ongoing in this year 2018

Hmmmm ?

Why don’t we hear their voice ? (if they honestly care, then perhaps we should also expect to be hearing concern coming from among them?)

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
