New Zealand Oil and Gas

Thought exercise

Imagine if companies, such as New Zealand Oil and Gas, was able to become as callously uncaring as what some cults seem so easily able to do?

Not that it would be likely to happen. Mainly because good citizen in NZ wont allow it.They would soon rise up against it. Because citizen can also imagine how their own family might just as easily get tangled up within the callous nature of that, themselves as well too. Therefore citizen generally also find it easier to empathize.Easier to unify and rise up and act compassionately against  callous nature of any company that might dare to not take the health and well being of all their employee’s into account

So you wouldn’t expect to see New Zealand Oil and Gas, company, getting away with just running the odd sausage sizzle, here and there, via some rapid relief team gig, like what Eb brethren can seem to do, so as to retain charity status.Or some Waitangi Day picnic public event, or public music concert like what Gloriavale provide, wouldn’t suffice so as to counterbalance any prospect of detrimental harm that perhaps might exist either?. To help appease general public’s concern

No way

Why so?. Perhaps because NZ citizen in general, retain more fears and concern that their own family members might also become entangled, within misfortunate messes like that might involve companies such as  New Zealand Oil and Gas .Mirror neurons fire quick and help to generate concern. Therefore they also feel empathy and compassion and solidarity with other people, who had already become ensnared in company bad planning .

Once disasters are know to occur ,with companies, like  New Zealand Oil and Gas.People are able to mirror the feelings involved, of what this kind of disaster might have felt like for themselves. Had they themselves fallen foul of mismanagement

No way can politicians  even get away with (for too long anyway) denying right for justice, either. For instance,if it was some sex abuse scandal, what had happen within  New Zealand Oil and Gas company. Then no way would prime minster Jacinda  Ardern, get away with deciding against initiating a royal commission inquiry into sex abuse. Like what seem fairly easily able to happen, in regard to inquiry into sex abuse within Churches and religious groups

No way would Jacinda leave it at the stance that religious group could choose to contribute, if they feel like it ?

They might be expected to ?

But then perhaps part of the problem also has much to do with huge expense of costs involved too, in running inquiry’s like that?

It wont happen for free

So therefore then this is perhaps also one very good reason that our government wouldn’t want to be involved in helping to constantly throw too much money away down the drain, by supporting faith groups, involved in extremities ?.Like what could seem to be constantly still occurring right now

Perhaps that could be helping to make it harder more impossible, to ever address issues ? (because the money wont stretch as far as to inquire about mismanagement and abuses, while also already wasting far too much money, on throwing money away when its being given to prop up groups involved in extremities, of what could perhaps be helping cause many issues of bad health)

So my point is, we need to be more mind fully aware of how many things are interconnected in life.Money isn’t like an endless pit of gold is it. One thing can lead to another. And the coin will can only stretch, so far

And even worse, if some groups are in fact freely able to be sucking the kitty dry. And perhaps even manage their racket, cunningly too, so that little taxes are paid either. Like, consider this question, how many members of Gloriavale will need to pay tax, if in fact they don’t actually earn money as such themselves, that they put into their own bank account?. What if most all money goes into the cult bank account?.And if the account ownership is connected to a charity?. Do tax free charities pay much tax?. Will so much of the money ever trickle down and filter on outside ? . Or will only a wee small token amount trickle on outside ?

All the while, these groups are even able to still maintain gleaming public image, while doing so,an even perhaps when hidden suffering might exist . How would anyone know ?. Few citizen will bother to try and be more mindfully aware themselves. Most likely figure that perhaps they should expect, that the government ministers, are caring to keep an eye on such important matters. After all, that would then help make the citizens responsibility way less energy burned. Its the easy way out right? . Government minister is tasked (paid good money to do so)with keeping a watchful eye on finances = citizen is then able to act more and more lazy themselves, and leave the hard graft of thinking and being mindfully aware of extremely important situations, up to someone else, which then of course = less energy being burned by too-lazy citizen  Jill & Joe Bloggs

Jill & Joe Bloggs, the good Kiwi citizens, only care to become a little more mindful, themselves, once it finally begin to occur to them, how the their county is fast going broke. When they feel its now time they should begin to start moaning about it

Or not?

Then what about the scenario of  other people may also need to be missing out, like if perhaps our Governments are fast running out of cash kitty?

Just saying

So many things are interconnected in life . Perhaps its time right now, for the public citizen, to seize the day and learn to become more mind fully aware themselves?

No use us just bagging the government, each and every time, whenever we see things finally fail ?. The time to take action is before it happen ?

Mindfulness equals realistic responsibility ?.Even if it might feel like energy sapping hard graft, for us,to need to do?

What is the other option? . Stress and become anxious and angry, once our country is already going broke?

That might seem easy way out, to us earlier on.But in the long term its harder

Mindfulness doesn’t necessarily mean, us finding some meditation practice, to use as some easy way out,so as to soothe our mind,so we then personally don’t need to feel worried or anxious, ourselves ?

Our government are unable to take action, unless we as good citizen, will also be willingly prepared to accept our own responsibility too, so as to help make sure the governments will do ?

Just saying

Keep this in mind too. No use us thinking, oh well, if anything is really wrong within cults, then the nice people within can always just choose to own up to it, and help spill the beans

That’s already been tried, before now, many times, time and time again, already.Right? But yet what did it ever really help to achieve ?

Those members (who spilled the beans) were promptly ostracized and shunned. Some then also lost all contact with their family,or wife or husband or children and so on, whom remain inside

Meanwhile the citizen outside the cult

Just let it slide

By not accepting any responsibility for the ongoing problems, themselves. Many just bury their worry and anxiety about their own lack of finance to be able afford a house of their own, to own,or even holiday or whatever else.

In booze or take medication or do types meditation, of what may then help them to forget about it, for awhile, for as long as they can manage to keep drinking or meditating or pill taking (not that the worry ever actually cease, it just comes and goes, sits in the background of the mind like a massive tumor )

Meanwhile.Cult leaders are laughing their way to the bank and back again. Some are cruising around the world in their own jet air planes ,and so on

Others may be out riding their Harley Davidson bike.Feeling all smug and dandy that God has supplied them with all the the flash bike, house and the cars and what not. Some even dress in the cool leather jackets too, so as to help look cool,an in that way will also be able to keep the church membership numbers climbing as well. The money rolling in just fine. Because they are looked upon as if they are now like guru Godly rock stars. All the young folk are like sitting-ducks whom naturally will sheeply aspire to follow in the footsteps,of cult leaders,of what they can see creaming-it ,cash wise

Lets face it.Us adult citizen, shouldn’t expect our youth to be the ones to lead the way.Right?.They’ll often follow by example (like, even by the adults, bad example?). Or fall foul of peer pressure. And so on

Maybe soon. Perhaps the most safe pathway for anyone to hope to be able to buy their own house. Will be become like another guru and gather up followers and try to start their own cult?.Specially in some cities

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
