I feel blessed

We will often hear the phrase, “i feel blessed”, being spoken among believers .If its for real, then its obviously also a good thing too.But if its not for real, then could it perhaps even be helping to promote some aspect of harm?.

It can be hard to dare to bring up these kind of topic for discussion. For one thing, few of us really have intent to want to cause hurt/harm, specially to believers. We understand these faithful ideas are also very heart felt ideas.Even atheist don’t have intent to hurt or harm believers. As we also still have healthy strong feeling of empathy and compassion too, like what most other humans all do. When we observe other people hurt, we begin to also feel bad, ourselves too,to observe that some other humans are hurting (IE:mirror neuron). We can still imagine, within ourselves, what it might be like, and feel like, if perhaps the tables were turned and we were the person feeling bad walking a mile or two in those other people shoes . So obviously its never feels easy for us atheist, to bring up, conversations like this

Another problem (an even although, it feels like it matters, less to us,because it only concern our own feeling/self esteem/pride) is we also don’t want to come across like as if we are only just intent on moaning about stuff. Stuff of what perhaps some other-people, like believers might figure, we should just keep to ourselves, and harden up about a bit more, and just learn to suck it in and continue to just stay quiet about

So we are face with this dilemma.Once again we are faced with another situation where by two quite different conflicts of interest, will clash together. What to do about that then?

However, to be fair, i cannot help but still feel that this subject is an important discussion, of what  need to be discussed a little.Lets face it, the world as we live in it today, is still generally modeled around the idea, that in fact certain groups of people (IE:faithful people), are being blessed more than others (IE: atheists, agnostic, or other), due to being believers.

Take the exclusive brethren group, for 1st interest sake. Think about how plenty of believers among their faith group, will in deed also be believing ,that their own group is being actively blessed by God.For instance, like when they are able to still easily convince the charity commission, in the UK, that exclusive brethren should still have right to be able to retain the eb groups charity status, because the charity had continued to allowed it to happen, after seeing how the brethren group, suddenly out of the blue, had started to get all actively involved with throwing RRT (Rapid Relief Team) sausage sizzles, and so forth here and there.

The brethren will be able to feel blessed.Wont they?. Even the elderly brethren among their members, also will consider its so. And in the same way what all believers do

Here’s another example. Some years back now, i had had gotten involved ,with a couple of ex eb’s believers ,over in Australia (Note: out of empathy/compassion im not bothered to need to name anyone here.As it doesn’t matter who).I was trying to acquire a tool, from over Australia (import to nz),to do a job for someone over here in NZ.As it worked out, i soon learn that it was actually fairly bad choice on my own part (even although ive also still learned something from my choice.Best i can do, is always try and learn, something, specially from any things of what backfire). The person involved who had agreed to help me source and send the tool, had gotten a cold, and instead of phoning the company, that was supposed to supply the tool, so as to pay them over the phone quick, so to secure while the tool still in stock. The Australian decided to wait around awhile, until their cold got better. But meanwhile, the shop completely sold out of stock. So i were then forced to need to wait another 6 weeks, for more stock to arrive into this shop. Then wait for the tool to be also sent here to NZ as well to.

Meanwhile the person here in NZ of whom im supposed to be getting on with doing the job for, is now busily hounding me, and even is suggesting how perhaps i’m completely untrustworthy and unreliable

Now, i don’t happen to have any brothers,of my own, whom would care enough about me, to want to stand up for me,and perhaps help  back me up,by speaking on my behalf so to help explain/confirm to person ive agree to do the job for, about my reason for being late, in regard to reason i’m not able to get on with the job on time.

No. Iv’e pretty much always been alone in this regards.

Strangely the Australian, who is also a believer, is blessed lucky, with having at least one brother who’s a believer too, of whom he actually could at least rely on, in this regard (Note:and honestly i’m mighty thankful he has a family member like this. Why? .Because i also know very well, by studying  my own many experiences, exactly how much worse ex cult life can begin to be, when living without anyone, who’d actively be there to care to want to bother to act on our behalf, in this way).

My point is. Believers claiming to be blessed, would seem to be an arbitrary claim.Right?

An arbitrary claim of what also perhaps helps to cause far more damage, than good?

How many believers will ponder/consider that?

I have other ex eb family whom have remained very active believers.Strong believers, so strong that they also refrain from much contact, with an atheist like me.They too feel very blessed. It possibly never occur to them, all that much ever, it seems to me anyway, that perhaps an atheist can become extremely un-blessed,as well, mainly due to having  family whom are mostly either believers, or else family whom are perhaps been dealt cards, that sit someone on the autism spectrum. Meanwhile evidently ive been blessed with trying to figure out how to live ok,when mostly i’m forced  rely on strangers i meet

Here is an article, that would seem to be written by a believer https://www.huffingtonpost.com/scott-dannemiller/christians-should-stop-saying_b_4868963.html

While believers remain strongly intent on promoting this myth. Then the next question is, for what good reason, should our countries authorities even see valid reason to get going and act fast, so as to help stop these ongoing harms caused through ongoing faith abuse?

Like, perhaps all that need to happen, is for citizen to all become believers ?

But hold on , there are also plenty of believers , who still are forced to suffer like hell ?

I don’t write this story out of any concern for myself.Honestly.If id cared about myself so much ,then hey perhaps i might have written about this far earlier.Fact is ive learned to do fairly well at hanging in there in life. And i manage to do fairly good in fact.Good enough anyways, to also be able to still help other people too, from time to time. But i write this story, mainly because i also now know full well, about how there will be bound to be huge amounts of  other people too like myself. Whom struggle in life.

Specially thinking of, and remembering all these friends of ours ,who’s stories memories are now needed to be recorded with these files here http://wikipeebia.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=14 (people need to own the fact, that their hope for obtaining salvation,in eternity, is ended up being immensely costly.Jesus never paid the cost. The cost is still being paid)

Even they had mainly been forced to have need to have struggled hard, all because a high population, worldwide, will choose to still bank on the idea that believers will be blessed?

Believers do better but only in the same way of what any group gathering together is also always able to do somewhat better as well too (as numbers always help make the difference). As even street gangs can also do somewhat better as well too, when being also gathered together in a form of solidarity.Whenever working together toward some common shared cause. Even extremist groups, do far better too, while working together in forms of  solidarity.

So, are they then also being blessed ?

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
