Where about is any sign of the Christian conscience?. Where?
That’s what i often wonder. I feel like i never see or hear anything much from Christians, who “might actively care” about the faith abuse. Even when the battle to have Catholic sex abuse addressed ,was dragging on and on , i never felt i saw all that much evidence of “active concern” or evidence to suggest perhaps other Christian conscience was actually “alive”
Where was any sign of it?. Evidence ?
Christianity (generally) dislike to hear a bad word being spoken in connection to their faith. They hate to hear it.I don’t know why? .They’ll say well these cults are nothing to do with Christianity.Perhaps some may even say Catholic church cannot be considered as any “real Christian” either . Who know?. And may say that within surrounding of our own “real” Christian flavoured group, things are all fairly good
But imagine if human looked upon everything about aspect of our life, in this same manner too. Our neighbour might say ,so long as im treating my own wife well enough, then its no business of my own to care to be bothered about consciously considering the way in which someone else might be mistreating their own wife
Or so long as i’m not involved in theft or murder or racism “myself” ,then its none of my own business in regard of how someone else may choosing to live their own lives
This is not the
right decent way for us human to decide to all live though, right? .We usually do need to care about what is happening in other people’s lives
That’s usually an active part of humanity (IE: we won t try to wipe our hand clean of responsibility of how others act, and try and pretend like as if those other people are not “real” human. Will we. We’d be embarrassed about ourselves too, if we gutlessly tried to deny our own responsibility , in this way)
So then, what with the difference with regard of religious issues then ?. There something that seems morally wrong here.
When humans act badly within our society, we won’t bother to try and disown them as if they have absolutely nothing at all to do with us.
Do we ?
No we don’t. We accept that they are in fact still a part of “us”,dont we. And even when if they do some things that we wouldn’t ever be doing ourselves. Right?. Quite often, we will be vocal ,in the very least, in rebuking when stepping up and taking our own action to try and help remedy the situation
This is how it happens ? . You can name a number of issues it will happen in this way with, like law and order, racism, sexism, politics , abortion , same sex marriage , euthanasia , violence and so on
But with regard of religion. The situation changes. For a start, there are Christian folk, even folk like Fisherman (ex eb) who will firmly deny that the eb cult has anything at all to do with Christianity . And in doing such, they also basically wipe their hand clean of it being any of their own responsibility
Other Christians all choose to do so too, as well !
That would obviously help to explain why we don’t ever hear “many” of them being vocal in regard of their own conscience in connection with major religious abuses that exist
They all wipe their hand clean of it
Just in the same way like what Fisherman will often do too .Quite openly does . Happily so
And so the faith abuse finds fertile ground to take root. With ease . Because Christian can decide to disown any part in responsibility of other Christian group action
This is irresponsible .Right ? .It irresponsible leadership ?.Its highly immoral too . Right ? . Its kind of inhuman too . Right? (considering how it’s generally not how human would usually choose to react. Not how human react to crime, or abortion ,or politics ,or sexism, racism, or )
This is something special different with religion .And even within realm of dead horse Christianity too. There’s no longer any real life in it. Its dead. Most Christian are busy denying any of their own part in any responsibility
Jesus might have actively taken ownership of his own part in responsibility for action taken by others around him involved in religious abuse . Happily so. Without any acts of denial
Jesus “acted” as if he was alive
We cannot say the same about Christianity today ?. More Christian today are busy denying they would have any part in accepting responsibility for others choice of action .Right?
Obviously its “Christianity traditional” way to live today . To act, in this way, like a worthless dead horse
Christianity, today, disown responsibility of faith abuse within the Christian church. Like, and even the pope “happily” did so as well too?
Mainly because it’s also become such a widespread Christian tradition .Heaps and heaps of Christian, universally worldwide, are all busily involved in happily doing it too. In their own way
So easy to do? (IE: just wipe your own hand clean of responsibility).
Lovely “cosy” feeling too, the sense of peaceful blissfulness ,that it also then enable the Christian conscience to dwell within ?
Soothing, “feeling” , to nullify the Christian conscience ? (like snake charming music style)
To me there seem to be, something immoral about this. To me it seems to reek of a double standard at play (IE: its only religion that we treat this way). Human have become too well accustomed to living with this situation, in the way it is
Because Christianity,as a movement, had been able to become so highly dominant. And so it was able to also have became “traditional” to just allow it to happen. Traditional too, to also just turn a blind eye to the way it was happening
Christians are still partly responsible for this tradition .Also extra highly responsible ,for their own act today too, in choosing to deny responsibility
Shameful too, that few care to bother to accept responsibility
Cults can try to ruin people through litigation
Few Christian would even care to bother to blink an eyelid about what’s happening (IE: they all wiped their own hands clean of any part in responsibility of what’s happening to “others” )
Christianity is become like a dead horse nowadays. It stinks
Christianity movement today, is become more proactive in getting active in trying to further intrench “negative” form of religious liberty (right to discriminate)
This should be embarrassing ,to Christian folk today.
But it isn’t
I’d hazard to guess perhaps it might “embarrass Jesus” a fair bit, though , if he were to be aware of it ?
Consider that the people who claim “real Christian” status, today, quite likely are also all the ones whom feel happy to just sit back in silence and wipe their own hand clean, of any responsibility for how others are choosing to act
Then consider John 13 : 13-22
Compare the two. And then ask yourself, is Christianity today acting like a dead horse that stinks bad ?
