Another excellent video by John Cedars
The measure of truth (fact/reality), is generally judged by whether it also stands up to maximum scrutiny. I figure that generally seems fairly correct.
Consider the miracle cures, for instance like the ones what Benny Hinn ministry is reported to take part in. Notice how those miracle cure, for some reason, will only happen within the Benny Hinn ministry designated gatherings.
Like, we don’t see news articles of impromptu miracle cures happening within the towns and/or main street (like spontaneously out of the blue, as Benny Hinn just so happen to be there). The miracles only occur when gatherings are pre-arranged. Or like we never see spontaneous impromptu visits to local hospital , where by sick and diseased hospital patients are being miraculously cured within the blink of an eye
So this is the measure of truth (reality) in regard of people/priests ability to cure by God
Some believers may then declare that its not right thing to do,to put belief in God to the test in this way
After all, the holy books, such as the bible do record a number of instances of where this kind of thing was supposed to have occurred, back in times long ago
So, why ok then, but then not ok now ?
Maybe it’s because, back in those times long ago, there was also far less possibility for truth of matters to be reported ?. In those times, without the presence of news media who’d have movie camera and so on at hand. Then hearsay was obviously still far more prominent and even more likely to be respected method of truth-report as well too
In this sense, even the faith groups are still able to pin their own sense of truth, on certain aspect of hearsay as well too. Which perhaps might explain why so many of the faith groups will still prefer to be able to maintain exclusive type memberships, where by church members will then have become part of an in-group. As within this type of controlled gathering , the option to stage miracle cures, also still becomes totally possible to stage as well too
And so in considering that thought. This video of what John Cedar has posted is a valid thought to ponder?
How would the membership of an in-group ,ever have ability to be able to gauge when the miracle cures are being staged or when they are not being staged ?
They really wont be able to know?. Most of the congregation will be feeling so overcome by their own emotion, by then, that more than likely by then their own mind wont even be in any kind of healthy condition to be able to register any sense of warning bells
They’ll be carried away within the in-group sense of emotional jubilation
Which of course also help to explain why religious far prefer to create in-group . As its akin to setting the stage for the scene of the show
They cannot do that out in the street in any impromptu way?
Surely if miracle cure were for real. Then they also should have no trouble at all
How many believers ever bother to stop and ask themselves about this
Are too many, already been carried away within the emotional jubilation
And as such, already been “rendered senseless”
What’s the bet that few will dare to stop and consider that possibility now either?
I hazard to guess that few will dare to
As they will fear that by daring to do so, it might then pose possibility to help to ruin their sense of jubilation
They crave that sense of jubilation
This sense of jubilation of what they have already grown so extremely fond of, like a “drug” of what helps soothe them, throughout the days of the week
Likewise with exclusive brethren members too. They too don’t dare to ever even stop and consider the possibility that perhaps their own exclusive brethren group, might in fact be a cult. For fear ,that by doing so, it might then also begin to ruin their in-group “drug” buzz , of what for now help soothe them all ,week by week, within a “frenzy” of emotional jubilation
Believers need to ask themselves why
Why do they begin to feel so uncomfortable , whenever finding themselves within the company of the out-group people. The atheists
Why do they far prefer to exist within an eco chamber ?
Perhaps because the out group tend to diminish the feeling of emotional jubilation “drug buzz” of what believers are used to being able to get high off of ?
As an atheist, i never mind to be hearing the believers point of view.
I don’t mind it one bit (and in fact i enjoy it)
