Why Childhood Indoctrination Messes Up Kids

Yet another excellent video produced by John Cedars channel. A discussion with Sarah Rocksdale of what, i feel, really help highlight some important question with regard of religion and the many problems caused to people

Seem to be a common theme happening among cult escapee from different styled cults. Theme that it can be hard going for these cult-escapee to try to shake-off the fears and psychological problems of what still hang onto peoples psyche, for some time way long after they already leave the door of cults behind them

The fears (phobia) linger onward

It’s a fairly common phenomena experienced among cult escapee?. Due to them all lacking the usual proper ability to be able (feel able) construct their own conclusion “easily” and properly

The fact they lack critical thought skill. Makes them struggle to overcome the fear (phobia)

Children within controlling  closed religious groups, are not being taught equipped with  the usual normal worldly “critical thinking skill” . Like what most normal worldly people ,most usually are being equipped with. For benefit of their own survival

Are they?

They are not equipped with that ability

Even more so as well too, all the while that the cults are also being allowed THE RIGHT to be running their own schools, as well too . This situation helps to cement the lack of “critical thinking skill” ability, of cult members CHILDREN

More or less imprisoning them

They don’t ever get taught how to do that “critical thinking skill” then do they?

Not while the cults are allowed to chose which way to steer the “way forward” anyway

They wont teach their cult sneered/entrapped followers, how to use critical thinking skill. They wont do . In fact, 9 times out of 10 they’ll be intent on punishing people who do try to help teach equip the follower , with decent proper critical thinking skill

Like Sarah Rocksdale points out, cult escapee can sometime worry and feel as if that perhaps even their act of ” mere thought”, alone, are akin to being equivalent to being a-sin

So

Therefor they worry, that it might even be a sin in itself, for themselves, to even dare to try to think for themselves

So, dear reader, do you see how deeply bad and hopelessly fucked-up this sad situation is ?

Cult members are not generally being congratulated for trying to exercise the ability of their own mind ,to full extent, by any act of attempting to “think outside the square” for themselves.

Are they ?

No

More likely they’ll be punished, in some way, if they’d ever did dare to try to “think outside the square” (IE: dared to push the boundary) .

Or will be threatened about hell

Any method may be used upon mind of the young school children,of what works so as to help supress/block the childs own ability, to “feel free” about adopting a pattern of their own sense of critical thinking ability, so as to then be able to formulate their own decent conclusion, to full potential

That practice. Will remain foreign-practice to take part in (to cult children) .

Like, id hazard to guess, there remains serious doubt, that you’ll ever see a time when perhaps all the children of cult followers, will ever suddenly begin entering into competition of public debates, like those held within university (Like lets say for  regard of religious belief debate, for instance)

It wont happen?

Perhaps not likely ,even once in a blue moon to ever happen either?

They wont be likely to do so. As there is also a high chance, they’ll all then end up coming up against the horrid naked feeling, of being caught “way out of their own depth”

They will do ?

Quite likely so

Due to their lack of critical thought skill

Cult children, generally never ever are known to excel in those kind of skill (do they?)

It’ll  be more likely to end up as a huge embarrassment (unto the cult members ego) and a disaster as well (because the worldly children will “be way ahead” , in manner of critical thought skill, and thus will also be able to “run rings around” the minds of cult followers children ability to be able to debate well enough, to compete, with level of the worldly children ability, and to formulate their own conclusion well enough, so as to be able to think outside of the square)

It wont happen?

We wont ever see cult-children be able to mix and take part so as to ever be able to become world leaders (winners), in regard of level of debating ability

It REMAIN highly doubtful to ever happen

Mainly because Cult children, generally don’t get to learn/develop those particular kind of skill (that well)

They dont

Instead inheriting only a stunted sense of critical reasoning skill https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12015112 ( IE: surely we are forced to need to question/wonder about, what “level of “backwardly stupid” might be quite so inclined blind enough to figure that perhaps they might ever be able to actually get away with pulling these type of antics ?)

The evidence (of the lack of critical thought process)is fairly plentiful https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/australia/98220593/potential-witness-in-exclusive-brethren-sex-abuse-case-paid-to-remain-silent

A sense that they may kind of blunder their way along, through life, at times does seem to be somewhat obvious http://www.religionnewsblog.com/15118/exclusive-brethren-hidden-prophets

Generally speaking, cult members are mainly awarded mostly, while they’ll have learned how to contain their mind, within bounds of inbred confines of the cults-conclusion, “within the party-line” of  thought-line of the “cults own oppressive line of reasoning“.

Awarded once they agree to think along the same boundary line that the cult will make demand they ALL will need to remain-within .

We might say. To gain content with

Living their lives like a bunch of puppets

Right?

Therefore, cult escapee will have need to try to catch-up to the usual way of what most other worldly people (outside of cults) are already able to think about things, for themselves. The way that the worldly people are already equipped with an ability to be able to think outside the square (for themselves). So as to even be able to formulate their own opinion, and conclusion, properly

Because, cult member are generally only being taught about how to (listen) follow along with other people orders. Which in effect, is all about focused on only following along with decision that are made via other people conclusions

Thinking outside the square , is not something what will be often allowed to happen

Therefore cult members are not taught how to be able to exercise their own mind, for themselves, to full (normal,”worldly” capacity )

Cults are this way very effective, within each cults ability of effectively rendering human ignorant (due to cult member’s stunted ability of reasoning-skill )

This is a common phenomena , shared by cult escapee from a number of differently named cults

Its a tool commonly shared by cults, that when used can then also help to hinder the captives ability to be able to escape

Presents a path, for all cult escapee,to end up against a up-hill battle

Hindering their ability to escape, by making the road ahead, harder for them to negotiate . Harder because of reason that the cult escapee has not yet been taught how to be able to exercise their own mind, properly, in ways like what most other normal worldly people will have been already been taught how to do

This situation, then creates a extra struggle for all cult escapee to overcome . They’ll have need to overccome this problem, first of all, before they’ll ever be able to compete with outsiders more “evenly”

Good to see how people are openly discussing their experiences . Sharing their own experience. Opening-up about their own struggle they have experienced. While also pointing out how it can still become possible, for us all to achieve

And meanwhile, all John Cedars videos just continue to get better and better all the time that he makes them as well too

Why do our governments still continue to award these cults, via charity status ?

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
