Cumulative trauma, resulting from the failure of the maternal protective shield

I’m wondering how many cult members, and ex cult members as well might perhaps be dealing with ongoing issues and problems stemming from some form of failure of maternal protective shield ?

I suspect, there might be plenty who do

Cults practices seem like they might be like a “perfect-storm” to cause problems, specially with failure of maternal protective shield

Considering how cults would be observed to agree to allow mothers, to even suddenly disown their own children?

Cult children can be either forced to observe it happen to one of their sibling. Or perhaps may even experience it happening, to themselves

Either way. Cult children grow up learning to feel “acutely-aware” of how maternal love, is conditional .

Conditional, to adherence to draconian cult rules

What is PTSD?

PTSD is characterized by exposure to a traumatic event, or traumatic events over time, and may come on shortly after trauma or at a future time. PTSD may be relatively short-lived, or it may be long-lasting, becoming chronic. PTSD symptoms include a blend of re-living and re-experiencing the trauma, for example via intrusive thoughts, nightmares, or repetitive behaviors (even repeating traumatic relationship patterns); negative changes in emotions and thinking, for example depressed mood and difficulty with clarity of thought or memory; dissociative symptoms, such as detachment or emotional numbing; avoidance of reminders and thoughts of trauma, which may severely limit one’s choices or keep one from leaving the home; and hyperarousal symptoms, anxiety, being on edge all the time, fearful, rageful and generally on high alert at all time.

PTSD can only be diagnosed if more than 4 weeks has passed since a traumatic event; prior to that point, most reactions are considered normal but if severe may verge diagnostically into Acute Stress Disorder. PTSD early on in life especially can lead to complex PTSD (cPTSD), with effects on development of personality and identity, and generally resulting from abuse and neglect as a child.

I wonder how much PTSD trauma , is ongoing for cult members including ex cult members , due to traumatic relationship patterns. Connected to children’s maternal experiences ,in situation when mothers are observed or experienced to be shunning and disowning any of their own children, which can obviously have happen according to cult-law requirements of shunning and “excommunication “   .

end quote (my bold)

I can see why cults would want to sue people who may have quoted their cult leaders ministry

Like this

When the ministry is been so mean and nasty, is EMBARASSING and can be seen to be VOID  of empathy?. Talking about “hate” and about how certain people would be best to eat rat poison, and kill themselves (or something or rather to that effect)

Then little wonder the cults would try and sue ?

So as to try and silence people

Its becoming far too embarrassing, for cults, now in these more modern times. A time when science is finally been making huge advance in regard of knowledge about trauma issues. Due to advances brain imaging machines they now have and so on . Been busily gaining knowledge about exactly how extremely harmful certain types of trauma actually is.How the trauma in fact causes people deep ongoing relationship problems and so on . Which in effect, is quite likely also even causing these peoples (ex cult members) offspring to in turn, who end up becoming a victim of these cults nastiness, as well

Cults would be “wanting to shut people up” , wouldn’t they?

Oh yeah. They will. And though they may fool some people some of the time. But they wont fool all of the people all the time

And a lot of people still wont give up the fight

Cults are been digging their hole deeper for themselves ?

Like with the way they constantly try to deny “evidence” of the level of harm they helped to cause

With the way science is going. The light is bound to be seen sooner or later?

I cant see, that there will ever be any other outcome

Some day, Cults will finally end up FACING the similar level of disgrace (or perhaps worse?) to like what Catholic church group is already facing

Little doubt

Catholics already made themselves LOOK CALLOUS enough,  by their own silly act of constantly trying to deny sex abuse

Meanwhile Cults are also busily doing similar. Digging the hole deeper for themselves. Putting on the charade.Pretending as if their cult is merely been “just misunderstood ”

Sadly the Cult members are become so backwardly Brethren Cult-Bogan . They wont have enough nous, now, to even know that they “more likely” wont get away with it

You  feel you might need some evidence, of how STUPID the Brethren “Cult Bogan’s” might act ?

Check these following couple of links out. And ask yourselves. Who was gullible enough to expect that they’ll get away with it?

Mindlessly busy with digging the hole even deeper?

Callous . Void of empathy. Low in remorse. Concern mainly for creating a concocted “outlook” to help uphold aspect of PRIDE

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
