I feel ashamed of supremacist type values like what i was once steeped-in

I do still feel ashamed of the supremacist type view of like what we were all steeped in, an were indoctrinated with, throughout our youth. Due to very bad luck, of us folk fate of all being born among Exclusive Brethren right wing Christian-Cult rank and file

I had first decided to escape the cult confines many years ago. And yet,the first step of escaping the cult, was one of the easiest parts. While the art of being able to adapt and de-program and to gain ability to learn how to alter my ways, to learn to think differently, wasnt isn’t been anywhere near half as easy.

And yet what (I feel) has helped me very MOST of all, to help me change my mind (de-program), in regard of my cult indoctrinated supremacist view, in regard of our supremacist way of  “looking down” on “other people” of like what we ALL saw as “the worldly people”.

As if they were all meant to be “evil and somehow all “way-worse” than whatever we would had felt-like, about ourselves?.

In short, we were ALL taught to be judgemental (and then also we were led how-to remain ignorant of “thought” of that, as well)

Was when I learned how in fact “outsiders” (worldly people) are not all evil people at all, after all….. They are not

No way they are (generally speaking)

Far from it in fact

Worldly people actually do include a large number of lovely kind and caring people too

They do

In fact very many are OFTEN way more nicer that what i remember how the cult people, EVER had acted like

This is the truth

Which was important, evidence (for me) to take good notice of

Im so glad i’ve learned about this

I LEARNED  by experience that this was the complete opposite to what i’d previously been indoctrinated to believe, within the Brethren cult

I have

Our whole cult existence, was  kind of purposely designed around the big-headed puffed up type sense of opinion. Even since time back with John Nelson Darby too, or perhaps even well before those times even so also as well

We better wake up to it. Long overdue time we did?

Our Christian roots were supremacist orientated

Sadly so

Even verses of our holy book were also carrying/spreading certain somewhat supremacist type connotation as well.Christian will choose to use verses like John 14:6 so as to uphold their bigoted sense of “suprematism”

Yes indeed they sometimes will do

Us folk, were all of mentaility of the usual bigoted “our way” or the “highway” type of black and white-viewed thinking folk. Ruthlessly so. Even our holy book toted-belief of what also reeked of the supremacist value as well too (in my opinion)

And we children were being steeped-in amongst that bullshit ever since the moment we were born. Directly or indirectly

Our carers ORGANIZATIONS were then even being rewarded through charity status, then as well

They teach indoctrinate us with bigotry that leads to extremism. And meanwhile our Government have ALSO then been rewarding those groups through charity status

Sadly so

We were instructed to shun certain people. To such extent we’d then soon even begin to lack empathy SO BADLY OURSELVES , so EXTREMELY bad, that there were soon WHOLE GROUPS OF US who’d even agree to go “so far” as to also even begin to shun and hate and totally disown members of our own family. Even treating them as if they were dead already

I’m still ashamed of this . I’m throughly ashamed of the level of harm of like what it has helped caused to so many people

And yet at the end of the day

At the end of the day there are very few of us children whom had ever made it a purposeful choice of our own

We didn’t

We had no choice in the matter

We were simply herded into needing to believe it. Or else we would suffer the consequence if we’d ever dared to own up to not belueving it, ourselves?

There is nobody that should deserve to be introduced to this kind of situation

And yet its even allowed to continue to happen still today

Interesting for citizen to note

Interesting to note, how within the Exclusive Brethren group ranks, or possibly the Gloriavale group ranks either.

Not even one

Not “one” member, among any of their families, will be freely ALLOWED to be practicing the Islam religion (without EXPECTING TO face repercussion)

They wont be allowed to

How can that be ok ?

And yet our society wont recognoize this as being like it constitute any form of extremism ?

Not one of those people, will ever be allowed to feel free to invite a Muslim Islamist person around to their houses, to share meals together or to socialize socially, either . Sadly

They wont be ALLOWED to

As their groups, supremacist values, wont allow for it to happen

Presently our governments are still rewarding groups of people, for this kind of unkindness

Rewarding them, by the act of STILL awarding them with charity status

How can that ever be considered as ok ?

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
