Acceptance of Death

Alan Watts – Acceptance of Death

Good point .Who said that each one of us are supposed to survive eternally ?

Dying , in a way, is something honourable . Isn’t it?. As by dying ourselves, we will then help make room, for others.

Its certainly moral thing to remember to be “considering others”

In some way humanity is already acting as part of a type of eternal life already anyway, if we consider the way that human offspring, will still be human, to carry on the torch of human life on earth

But human, don’t choose to see that as being anywhere near enough?.Do they. They feel selfish?. They figure they want more time living, themselves. They demand more. To get what they want/demand, they’ll even be prepared to do or believe anything too, so as to believe they’ll then be able to get more for themselves. Correct?.

The idea, is foundered on “selfish style” attitude

Even if a part of the practice they generally agree to get involved in, is causing harm unto others. Or perhaps their own part in the “whole general plan” , might be,that they are personally only involved in the harm via their own act of   (simply sitting back silently in a state of indifference)ALLOWING IT BE, that there would be other certain people, someplace else (unlucky ones) around who’d need to be the unlucky ones tasked with need of experiencing faith abuse

Human don’t care?. So long as they can continue to feel that their own craving “for eternity” is catered for? .

Then why bother to care about others then?

Even if it need to mean , that part of the cost for the underlaying belief, will amount to waste /depletion of  world resources as well too, and all accompanying pollution that also of course naturally goes along as part and parcel with this mindless greed (IE: people with belief in Gods, of what a believed to even be able to re-create and renew absolutely anything, even worlds resources in the blink of an eye, are therefore ALSO way less likely to see importance of conservation. PLUS will also be less likely too, to “see good reason” for any need for human to feel CONCERN )

If eternal life , for human, is only an option for humanity via the constant birth of human offspring

Then human are certainly heading FAST in a direction of what may perhaps ultimately serve to help make it near impossible, to continue to maintain

Perhaps finally cause it to become, impossible ?

The craving for eternal life (in the selfish sense of the way in which million of human wanting to be able to live forever themselves, ie through act of having faith in a-God etc)

Might in the end, serve to help waste the only real dinkim option, that there ever really was, that human life might some how been able to actually continue-onward, through the continued birth of human offspring

Imagine that ? (if it weren’t actually so deathly dangerous, then perhaps it might even be, bloody hilarious )

The thought that the human craving for eternal life for “oneself” . Might in fact end up as what in fact works to balls-up  the whole situation within the only real way that there ever really was available

Can human really being so stupid ?

You bet ya. You bet they can be. Hell, us human can be thick-as at times. And to make these kind of matters even way way worse, there are also blindly stupid people around as well in our world, in places of power, the ones with very little faith in God, yet who merely still go through the motion of pretending to believe, and who’s only real main concern/goal , in their life,is to do anything to help make themselves become more wealthy . Even if it require them to pretend to believe in a-God

Don’t expect those folk, to CARE TO ever caution anyone about that fact either?

Not in their personality to bother?

These group of people, also don’t care less about others, so much neither ? (therefore both the believer and the wealthy greedy person alike, can go forth hand in hand , acting as if like team mates together. Both parties, on opposite beliefs, still feed off of each others, addiction . Serving to help prop each others needs up)

What’s worse

Still way too often, the believers will cry persecution too, whenever a non believer dare to try caution about the situation. They don’t want to need to even hear about it?

Makes you wonder if the real reason might more often be, though, that the believer might in fact secretly fear, that perhaps the non believer might be correct after all

Similar way?

Strikeingly similar way , to how the Brethren members also don’t like to even need to hear things said about James Taylor jr at Aberdeen either, as they too secretly fear that perhaps the allegation are true

But then, there is reason to help explain why that these thing happen in that way too ?

One explanation, is the dire lack of empathy

But then ,faith in  an eternity, for “onself”, does not help lend itself , to help promote growth of empathy ,of what might then proceed to help human to remember to remain concerned for others

Does it ?

Chance are it in fact help to dissolve empathy

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
