Don’t Think Too Much

Don’t Think Too Much – Alan Watts

Interesting point?

Do we do, it . Or does it, do us ? . kind of concept

We don’t really shape ourselves. Our environment shapes us. Even our personality?

Like, most human would rather to not care about our environment, but yet its our environment itself, of what makes us have a need, to take more interest. Some ,may come around slower, to doing it, than others might do. But its still no real great difference . Just happens “slower” for some people

We dont necessarily want to be charitable toward others, either. Most of us human are selfish ,but then we note that should we not bother to be charitable ourselves toward others, then others wont reciprocate so as to be charitable toward ourselves either . So there again, its our environment, not ourselves, what’s more of the driving force reason behind why we will

Perhaps human wont give a damn about global warming. Even until after insurance money, for building burnt-out and blown down houses, has finally run-broke , and ceased to even be available anymore?. For instance, due to complete bankruptcy. It wont make a speck of difference whether people will have “regularly” kept-up with paying their insurance policy payment whats due. Wont matter one bit. Because insurance-money cannot continue to come from thin air , forever more ?

There again ,its our environment , what in main part will then have become, the MAIN driving force of us to “change”, not us . We are not the ones who’s in control

Cults don’t agree to change. They don’t.Bruce Hales wouldn’t either. If they had it all their own way, they never ever would change. Not even one bit. No they wouldn’t do

But again, ultimately its still our whole modern environment, whats being the main driving force, behind reason for change like what IS  been happening

Our voices just add-to the environment chatter . Put together, all our voices, when all added-together, will then make-up one voice. This voice, usually leans more one way, than it will the other way . What way it leans most, then become direction of change

So when Bruce Hales said , you wont change us . He’s correct. Us ex eb’s alone ,wont change Brethren’s ways. No

But yet, our modern environment, sure is doing so (Brethren may just prefer, to think perhaps its been-them, who’s been doing it )

Every small bit of chatter, adds up . So perhaps that’ll explain why they’ll like to shut it down?

Protests and so on. All = chatter . Added together this chatter forms the environment driving force

No real need, for us, to need to “overthink” whatever we say, too much (within reason) . Any chatter, at least adds to the environment

And perhaps this will explain why the peebs are evidently pushing, again right now, to try to re-recruit ex eb?

Peebs possibly wont like, the “all for one & one for all ” style  philosophy

Would they?

Perhaps they are generally of the “sheep herder” styled stock

Be great cunning plan to cut a few scattering mobs of ex eb off. Here and there. Smallish flocks will even work fine too

Packs of wolves mastered similar “tactic” too. Usually will specially try to select-out and run-off the ones they see as the weakest most vulnerable ones.Ones that suffer real bad without rest. The greedy. The ones low in compassion or empathy for others who’ll happily save themselves even be prepared (scum basically) to sell-out on the other decent people who’d helped them. Ones without scruples

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
