Really important point

An ex eb comments … Quote:

Fiona Davey Lori Bleau yes its a really important point and not to think we are better than other believers. We have all been bought by the same precious blood.

end quote (Note: Fiona is merely being quoted here on my blog, for reference purpose only. As i’m sure that, overall, Fiona will be a very lovely pleasant person. I have no doubt about that)

So does this then mean its fine for believer’s to consider themselves better than atheists

Or what?

In certain countries atheists are treated like as if they are second grade citizen. In places like the USA , they are still lagging so far behind, as yet they have never elected any atheist for president.

Here is one news article what gives a little info on how things STILL are in US  … See here https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/shortcuts/2017/aug/08/in-god-we-trust-why-americans-wont-vote-in-an-atheist-president

Here in Aotearoa (NZ) the land of the long white cloud. We have already had a number of atheist within parliament.Religion is not been like such a driving force within our country. And neither has any wars been  our own interest either. Other when we have been forced to enter war within a peace keeping role

Our countries strives to be peaceful. To be caring. This doesnt mean our country is like any kind of utopia . We still have real big problems here that still require work

But at least we certainly don’t have many people who’ll openly downgrade people simply due to their lack of belief in a-God

I feel ,that this has been to our own benefit (our saving grace?)

More and more, these days, i feel a sense of pity for believer that still look down on people because they lack belief in a-God. But hey, these folk are likely to be nice people, but they are victim themselves of bad teaching

I cannot help but wonder if they might have unwittingly been acting like their own worst enemy with they way in which they’ll see atheist like as if atheist are the bogey man (the bad, evil people or whatever )

You wont see any believer in our country getting away with publicly advertising gathering to burn the Koran . Like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dove_World_Outreach_Center_Quran-burning_controversy

Our population of citizen (vast majority anyway) will see it as utterly appalling too, to observe that there might be any believer people , who’d decide to include bible verses on rifle scopes bound for war .. See info here https://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/us-military-weapons-inscribed-secret-jesus-bible-codes/story?id=9575794

Here in Aotearoa , we can easily SENSE  how both these news report things ive quoted above, are OBVIOUSLY very wrong.

Its our sense, we use, rather than prayer what our citizen will rely on . No need for holy scripture, when SENSE  is a tool what we would need to exercise well?.

If holy scripture were needed to provide SENSE, then perhaps the other animal (mammal and so on) on earth might then ALL be the most senseless being on earth too, rather than us silly human (us people who have raped the earths resources due to our own greed. Who have cared so little about AFFECT of pollution and climate change and so on. Leaving a complete disgraceful mess for our own offspring, and the animal, to contend with in future,in the process). So sad . So utterly UN-THOUGHTFUL and disgraceful of us adults

Whether we would have had children, ourselves, or not . Still makes little difference. As the children, WORLDWIDE !, are still ALL OF OUR OWN CHILDREN too. They are. We need to learn how closely interconnected we all remain.(Refer to teaching wisdom of Jesus, if you’d feel like wanting to disagree with me)

Correct?

Or what?

I’ve said it on this blog here before, but i’ll say it again

Believers can tend to become like their own worst enemy

They can?

Believer may need to use far more sense

It is sense that population will require , to help guide themselves toward world peace . Prayer is not reliable enough to rely on. Too many conflicting answers will come from reliance on prayer

Prayer is an unreliable system to maintain a peaceful world environment

So as to have hope of world peace environment .

This will require use of good sense

Because , lets face it, both of the news items above, chances are that all those people involved, were also more likely ALL reliant on prayer, far more than good sense

Sadly , believers themselves wont ever talk about this what im talkjing about here. And should an atheist like myself, join their forum. We’d be forced to need to refrain from speaking about these things. For fear of hurting the believers fragile feelings

Even worse

They’ll have moderator who’ll perhaps be inclined to still adhere to the domineering cut throat withdraw from excommunicate “exclusive” type mentality. Which is like a lingering remnant of their past lives within brethren circle too

Its not their fault. As they were ALL victim of bad teaching, too, in this regard as well. It takes great determination to try to overcome this “exclusive nature” . To learn to look past anger contained within forum members comments, so as to sense what type of pain and unhappiness it might be that could be “driving force” for reason for outbreak of anger

That’s how justice and fairness supposed to work?

Would Jesus have done so ?

Iv’e been angry myself (you can see evidence on my blog). Due to experience of my own environment-struggle, at the time (thankfully things have now changed for the better for me now). We as human, are not been taught to use any higher type sense. To sense reasons for situation of what we observe.

Rather than to need to have everything “spelled out for us”

Animal have been exercising higher sense (than what human do) , because the animal have also NEEDED TO remain  far more in-touch with their whole surrounding environment .

So as to even survive . Our else they may be eaten and killed by predator. So because the animal has constantly learn to exercise  this higher sense, since time of their birth, the animal many time can even be able TO SENSE  the approach of an earthquakes arrival . And so on

Human are born to be extremely bigoted animals. They like to think of themselves as being above the other animal (mammals etc) . Think of themselves as being smarter and even more aware

Go figure

The human is so useless, it no longer learns how to exercise these higher AWARENESS  (senses) of like what so many other animal are STILL ABLE  to use very easily

Little wonder our world is now in the very sad state of affairs like what it is now (environmentally). With wars, disharmony and WIDESPREAD social dysfunction, WITH POLLUTION and CLIMATE CHANGE to EXTREME

Whats worse

Is it the believer who STILL HOLDS THE KEY, so to help to bring about most possibility for change . For everyone of us

Even for the well-being of other animals as well too

Believers hold the key (due to their present population numbers)

However

These days our youth are leaving the traditional cultural faith of their past, in droves. See some info here https://superiorcatholicherald.org/blog/guest-columns/why-young-people-are-leaving-the-church/

Plenty more available online. Should people google it, to do their own research

Why?. Well because TRADITIONALLY these groups are controlled by adults. And adults being adults, being set in their own way, are stubborn and pig-headed and WILL choose to refuse to listen to their youth

Like ive said

Believers can , too often, become like their own worst enemy

I certainly don’t expect believer to care to feel bad  at all about the way in which they downgrade the worth of atheist

As that would FIRST require a person to be a bit more humble

And besides

Many believer will simply turn a blind eye to ongoing situation when their fellow believer is not been acting humble

Even the highly educated ones will do, as well too

This way of being like their own worst enemy

Is rampant

The worst part, of all, is the flip side of this. Is been the advance of angry atheist

All us human are slow to observe how interconnected our whole EARTHS environment is

I often ponder the thought. What would the-believers feel like, themselves, should they one day meet Jesus face to face. Only to then find that Jesus isn’t someone keen on people who had busily downgraded the worth of atheists  (even when in subtle PIOUS ways)

What then?

About ExEB

I'm a agnostic/atheist . Interested in learning more about science. I also am an "ex-member" of a group most publicly known within modern times, as the Exclusive Brethren. Whom are an off-shoot of the original Plymouth Brethren group. I'd say it likely my personality could possibly be described as quirky. You know ,as in being , unconventional , unorthodox , unusual, off-centre, strange, bizarre, weird, peculiar, odd, freakish, outlandish, offbeat, out of the ordinary, bohemian, alternative, zany I'm sure iv'e been classed as "crazy" . Many times But then, being born into a group like the exclusive brethren. Doesn't lend itself ? to tend to produce things considered as being "very normal" .Does it I escaped the Exclusive Brethren cult as a 15 year old teenager. Even since that time iv'e been trying to adjust to living life outside the cult. With much of my life being lived within the genre of "wild colonial boy" style. In the general sense of a church-rebel picking and choosing from role models who appeared within-life along the way. But as the exclusive brethren cult had traditionally maintained a general church-rule , of need to shun and totally excommunicate any ex member of their group.Treating such people as if they were dead. Thus this situation developed more to do with my need of following traditionally enforced church-rule , as apposed to it being so much about "life-choices". Certain emotional experiences, and parts of life in general, have led to me adopting a sense of low self esteem. Which is a situation i still deal with from time to time. Through my ongoing interest in science. I find i am able to gather more information to help me better understand my situation. Much about life for me, has often seemed like a massive puzzle. With many missing pieces.
